Definitely pulling for those dbag Flyers tonight. A Flyer win puts the Isles back in 2nd by way of GP and season series record. Woot! |

Article from Eric Hornick explaining why the Isles magic number is 6. Since I brought this up yesterday... - eichiefs9
He's right. I posted a short version recently, but was too lazy to explain it in the detail he has. |

Are you watching? Did you hear Olczyk say in the playoffs you have to be a dump and chase type of team? You can't stick handle through everybody? I hope Cappy is watching!

Now we're back in control of home ice, just gotta handle our own business. Starting tomorrow, we need to string some wins together - Isles_since_6
Easier said than done...but if they win out then they will guarantee themselves of home ice. 4 out of last 5 games are against non playoff teams so they are capable of doing it. |

They are capable of beating anyone. Despite 4 of the 5 games being against non-playoff teams, CBJ have been on fire lately and the PHI are no slouches either. PIT is going to be, essentially, a playoff game. The Sabres are the only bad team and we haven't even been able to dominate them this year.
These last 5 games are going to be tough. |

You never know with this team. That being said, I hope they got their mojo back with the win against Detroit. If they bring it like that, they should be fine in these last 5. Maybe the hockey gods smile upon them and they go on a winning streak to close out the season. Home ice would be awesome.
Any update on Grabovski? |

nothing yet, I'd expect at best another 3 weeks but he's nowhere close per capuano and staple.

Staple even went as far as saying (yesterday) that his feeling on Grabovski is significantly less optimistic than it was a couple weeks ago. I think at this point we should just mentally rule him out for the playoffs and if he makes it back in time to play then it's a win for us. |

We managed to blow a 3-goal lead and lose to the Sabres in Buffalo, so we have to be careful not to repeat that fiasco. On the other hand, with their victory last night over Toronto the Sabres are only 2 points behind Arizona in the overall standings. They have to be careful not to play too well lest they blow their guaranteed Top 2 pick. |

I said they should be more winnable games. We are better than every single one of the 4 teams we have left. Whether or not we play that way is another story. |

Id like to think (hope) that the Isles will take care of Buffalo at home and then beat CBJ at the last regular season game ever at the Coli.
The game against Pitt will be huge for both teams so I can really see that being a great game that could go either way.
The road games against CBJ and Philly will be a test because of how those teams are playing right now.
