Ill say this again. What toughness has Boulton brought to this line up ever?
- Cptmjl

Heart. Literally. The only thing he has ever brought to this lineup is a functioning, beating heart. That's about it.

And I'm sure watching Dubinsky and Atkinson skate circles around Boulton while they politely decline to fight him is going to make a world of difference.

Grit and Toughness™

The most overplayed, overrated, useless story-line in hockey.

I can't even get too worked up over these absurd lineup decisions anymore. It's just expected. Anyone who thinks Strait should not only play over deHaan, but get more minutes than Leddy and Boychuk...it's not even worth trying to understand the warped logic.
- UIF

Ive been trying to follow this same logic but fell off the wagon yesterday. Its frustrating as hell and I find it even more frustrating how some try and theorize what hes doing. Theres no reasoning with the blue line decisions. Its moronic.

If the choice is Milbury or Cappy, I'm taking Milbury.

This is a debate we don't need to have. Let's not even put this out in the universe.

Even though he hasn't played, he's a far better presence than Martin and dropping the mitts.
Boulton is a 4th liner, he could see minimal ice time and let Strome double shift, who cares, we don't need another game of rug-rats taking liberties again....

My point being is Bolton rarely hits or fights ever.

Cappy doesn't do that. Expect 15 minutes and at least one critical situation.

I will just leave it with watching Milbury coaching a guy like Bailey would be epic.

Bolton will be out along with strait with a minute left down by a goal. That's why those guys get paid the big bucks.

I'm going on a limb and say that he's only in todays line-up bc of what happened last game..... I'll also say that the isles w/Boulton in game are still a better team, so it really shouldn't matter....

The last part of this post is pretty much how I believe Capuano thinks and what makes him a terrible coach. In the NHL you have to put your best line up out every night against ANY team. We haven't been doing that since the Allstar break and look at the results.

Maybe JT does? Maybe he'll enjoy another spear from Dubinsky again.... ???
Obviously the coach does....

So Bolton is going to prevent that from happening?

This is a serious question, I'm not being sarcastic/facetious/anything other than genuine.

Do you honestly believe that Boulton is going to deter a single person in the NHL from doing something to Tavares? They aren't on the ice at the same time ever, so what protection do you actually see him providing for Tavares?

Im not agreeing that its a right or wrong but right before the PO's might start, I don't need any major player go down from a goonish squad bc they aren't in the PO picture....
