No way the get's take a D-man. That's not a knock against you. I just feel like they won't. Not with Myers, Buff, Enstrom, Trouba, Stuart, Clitsome and Chiarot on the current roster. They also have Morrissey waiting in the wings. It'd be like you guys taking another d-man. Wouldn't be a bad pick. But you guys already have 4 good ones, with a 5th waiting in the wings.

SMF actually just a made a good case for Proporov, based on BPA. At 6 if Proporov still there he'd be the best player available.

Never thought of like that. Proporov would indeed be your best prospect. I know some on here are fans of Rantanen or Brazal. They might be the safer or smarter pick in terms of need. Proporov is very good, better than those two. Tough call.

I think Edmonton could do that. They'd obviously have an easier time scouting him.

The thought of our future defense being Provorov-Larsson, Santini-Severson, Merrill/Gelly-Jacobs is absolutely silly, a defense to be reckoned with for the next 10+ years. That does sound amazing, then again so is Marner dropping to us. If we take Marner or Provorov, i'm running to sunrise and giving Lou a big ol' hug

He's that good. I know points in junior are over blown. But he's every bit as good defensively as he is at making a breakout pass or taking a point shot. Also
Helps that he's 6'1 200+ pounds. He falls to 6th/7th he's the steal of the draft. Me personally if I'm Lou I dangle the 6th overall plus one of our 2nds and hope that gets us the 3rd pick since we are desperate for a franchise center. I know everyone is down on taking a Dmen in the first round and I don't want Hanifan. But if we leave the 1st with Provorov, I'm ok with that.

I'd like to win this game for multiple reasons, its a packed house (granted theres a lot of habs fans), the boys have played great, and the young-ins both scored tonight. I don't think we pass philly, we are now 3 pts behind them, granted we lose in OT, with 1 more game played than them, and we have to play NYR twice still.

Why no Hanifin? Just curious.
