And turnovers, with the other team getting repeated chances. These are the Pens we know and loathe! |

Just because he's sid the squid's kryptonite doesn't make him a scumbag - vertigo1061
Yeah that Kryptonite didnt prevent you guys from being eliminated in 6 games last playoffs. You guys are in need of more kryptonite. |

Pouliot isn't ready for NHL playoffs. Maybe as a situational player, but I don't trust him at all. - madmike71
I can't blame him at all. He looks great for the limited experience of ~30 NHL games. He'd be fine as a bottom pairing/PP specialist. But yeah, he's not ready to be in the top 4 and wouldn't be were it not for injuries.

Wow, I guess you think that's true. Crosby has owned Dubi's teams over the years. Especially the Jackets. |

Another inexperienced play by Pouliot leading to a goal. |

Perron and Scuds are having a horrible day...DP isn't too far behind either. |

Beings you're an expert on scumbags, explain to me how Downey always "played with an edge" for ten years then all of a sudden he becomes a scumbag when he joins Pittsburgh? - Thunderbolt
Because it's Pittsburgh? I think you kind of answered your own question. Jest aside Downie takes idiotic penalties. He reminds me of Boll for CBJ who just takes absolutely horrid penalties for no reason. |

What is it going to take for a coach to just lay into this team? Holy sh1t we are a wussy organization. Can't hurt anyone's feelings. |

This team just can't get out of their own way. Why in God's name do you abandon Pouliot when you know he's shaky out there? Just pathetic awareness. |

Another choke job. I have turned off the TV on that goal. This team does not belong in the playoffs.
Two goals directly off turnovers. Is it me, or does Perron look ordinary now. Nothing special. |

Guys we lack size at both ends of the ice. Any bigger team gives us loads of trouble. Especially down the players who are better at puck possession. One of the reasons we fade later in most games is bigger teams wear us down. We have to work like heck to get a goal or two and then lose track in our own end and other teams find our net all too easily. |

We lack health. All these perceived problems are derived from that.

No, its not just health. We lack young players under the age of 24 that can provide offense. This organization, the way its run, is so very flawed. |

That makes him an idiot not a scumbag. This management team is trying to clean up our reputation, and although Downey has done stupid things and continues along that path, he doesn't spear, slew foot, knee or crosscheck someone in the head.
I get upset when people only accuse the Penguins of being dirty and no one else. Matt Cooke was dirty long before he came to Pittsburgh but he only got accused of it when he was here. |

There is definitely a dearth of young forwards. But none of them would be replacing a player of Malkin's caliber or mitigate the loss of 3 our of 4 top dmen.
