That would probably be the best solution--which is why I'm convinced it won't happen that way. I could see Buffalo being "stuck" with Eichel - but some longshot team is going to get McDavid. And the Oilers would probably draft Strome or something because they never draft Americans or defensemen and Hanifin is both.

Honestly one of my best friends is a Devils fan and if we finish 30th and don't win the lottery I hope you guys do. After the BS Kovalchoke 1st rounder thing and him douching off to the KHL not to mention Parise, it would be cool to see you guys catch a break.

I mean how can it not be true? look at how they all are playing. Its a night and day difference between how we played majority of the season. We have outshout the past 3 and i think possibly 4 teams. We haven't been dominated in a while.

Ted Nolan and his merry band of misfits think they are cute playing 110% and giving it their all. This isn't a children's book. Grow up Theodore. Imagine we actually win the lottery and get McDavid. I'd be shocked! It would take away the Buffalo feeling we all seem to get with our sports teams. And to be honest I have enjoyed the past two years more than I have enjoyed the heroic 9th place runs we have gone on in the past. I know a lot of fans are miserable about all of this but I have been the opposite. It was a relief to see the Sabres decide to rebuild the way they did.

If i could have it my way I would obviously get McDavid and have the Bills trade for Rivers. With Rivers the bills are a superbowl contender and with McDavid the Sabres are obviously only a couple years from being a powerhouse.

What I've noticed is that fans are completely self serving with no will to see big picture or league health.

If they're a fan of a top tier team, they don't care about increasing the power imbalance. By and large its a rule change to let everyone have a chance and/or punish bottom feeders.

if they're a fan of a middling team, they want equal chances at the top pick as the bottom feeders do and think 'tanking' is abhorrent (imagine the Kings getting mcdavid!!?) and/or a rule to punish bottom feeders.

Oh id be super happy with Eichel as well. And Rivers is very talented and idc if he is a baby lol. He can throw the football good haha. He would easily be the best QB the bills have had since Kelly. Although the bills could have been a good team if they had a good line when Drew was here.
