Evander Kane says hi. And what has Teddy done? The team is 39-84-17 since he took over. No coach survives with a record like that. - Pierceme69
If Kane scores 35 per year and resigns then you can say hi, if not, no so much. |

I didn't finish last night's case of Genny Bock until this morning, but I stopped by the liquor store for a bottle of El Dorado before lunch time.

Defecation like this makes my head numb.
So I have this right, you expect the players that are trying to keep their playing careers alive and a coach whose job it is to coach and win hockey games to just quit and not try anymore?
Not being disrespectful but you must not have ever played organized sports.
For who are the players and Teddy doing this for?
For Murray? To make Murray look good?
To make Murray's job easier so he can look like a genius when he drafts McDavid or Eichel?
Am I getting this right?
Am I playing along properly?
Let the players and Teddy do their jobs that they get paid to do.
Let Murray worry about how he is going to build a winner without taking the easy path.
Most of the talent in the system and on this team was acquired mostly by Darcy.
This direction was also begun by Darcy, this was not Murray's plan.
I am clearly not as enamored with Murray as most here are.
If Teddy and his players fall from 30th position simply from doing what they get paid to do has Murray failed at what he gets paid to do?
Because signing Gionta , Meszaros, Strachan, Benoit were certainly not moves to win but rather to OPENLY lose.
I am tired of hearing about the disdain for Teddy for doing nothing more than what he gets paid to do and the praises that get sung for a guy in Murray that has done NOTHING for this franchise yet...nothing!

Nick Foligno just scored a hat trick with an empty net goal. 30 goal season. Jackets have won 12 of their last 13. I think you can count that game as a loss. Pittsburgh is in trouble of being the 8 seed. They are going to need to win that last game of the season. This is a good result for us. - Pierceme69
We drafted the wrong Foligno. I always liked Nick, even when he was on the Senators. And I hate the Senators more than Toronto. |

Maybe not, Marcus is getting there. Maybe we should have tried to get Nick and had both of them.

It's delicious. It's a "hoppy lager" far less hoppy than the great Sierra Nevada pale ale, but for those who find pales too strong a flavor (I'm not one of them), it is a good stepping stone to IPA addiction (there I am), or at the very least a refreshing change up |

It's become unconscionable. - BuffaloHardHat
Actually what is unconscionable is a team that basically absolutely SHAT the bed from the get go and essentially doomed the team and the organisation to finish right near the bottom of the table and they now decide to try a little bit because they suddenly think "Oh poop I might not have a job here next year, I better start trying", team started with a supposed better roster, had a full pre-season and yet the team of younger scrubs is now deciding to play harder then the "experienced vets" that started the season.
If another team get swayed by a player suddenly trying for a few games instead of the previous 70+ games where they STUNK, then that team can have that player.
Man we are all fans here and you know what NONE of us want to see this happen, but it is and if losing a few more games in an already wretched season "guarantees" the Sabres the 2nd pick, just make it happen already.

Waiting for spring fruits to make a few new batches. It's always dry this time of year as we never make enough in the fall or with the holiday batches. |

Isn't the title of this thread wrong ? shouldn't it be "plight at the end of the tunnel" ?
So who else is predicting a Sabres win tonight can imagine a few guys busting it HARD tonight, Islanders might make a few trades for hard working Sabres players. |

winning the trade doesn't change the fact that murray made the move to improve the team long term. WHILE losing short term. but the short term benefits were just gravy. not the real reason for the trade.
whether he gave up too much and/or it proves to be a win long term or not doesn't really matter in this context. |
