This is a good thing. Weber plays better than many fans give him credit for and he plays with intensity. NBCSN fawns over the guy when they do Sabres games, not that they are the be all hockey scouts but Weber is much better than some fans on here give him credit for. Hopefully more time for Stachan, mistakes by Zads and less intensity that filters down to the rest of the team.

Sorry, here is a dis-agreement Bla defenseman who is to me nothing special. If Weber is considered in the long term future for the Sabres that is a bit worrying, actually very worrying. No real speed, no real shot, not really tough, pretty low hockey I.Q, just kind of plays D, I would hope guys like McCabe/Pysyk have more upside than Weber.

Weber is "decent"
But that's all he is. So don't worry, the Sabres are just bringing the guys you brought up along slowly so they develop their all around game. They'll eventually pass guys like Weber, Strachan, Meszaros, and likely even Georges.

Our defense is gonna be pretty nasty. Could be one of the league's best in as little as 3yrs.
Not a coincidence that I believe that's also when I think we will truly start competing with the best teams out there.
Still gonna be some growing pains for all this young talent
