Why won't they ever upgrade that brutal turf? Its not a fluke that every FA that comes to Toronto has injury issues, once they're there.

For better or for worse Vey isn't coming out the lineup until Richardson returns, I don't think WD likes Matthias in the middle at all and that is a bigger factor than Vey being a favorite.

WD had some strange comments today regarding the health of Kassian and Richardson, I had thought that they were just playing it safe but now am beginning to think that they might not return for some time.

Would be a real shame not to have those two for the playoffs.

Ya I watched it as well but I thought it was interesting that they are clearly confused about both guys status, not wanting to talk about it is the norm across the league now so I don't have a problem with that.

That makes sense in theory, but the only time he looks big to me is when he's driving the net and sometimes weeks pass without seeing that. Otherwise, he's the smallest big man on the ice.

I keep hearing the odd rumor they might go to grass there but man that is a maintenance and cost nightmare for a mostly indoor park. I'm assuming they have gone to better, safer turf over the years for wear down but still...there is something about that park that just don't treat the ball players well there.

Agree. Take the penalty (if need be) and set the tone early that we won't be pushed around. I would love to see Bieksa go after Toffoli and make him answer for his cheap shot.
