Does anyone know anything about Bo's younger brother Cal?
He was drafted by the London Knights. Seems a family tradition (Bo's dad also played for the Knights). |

His cousin Travis Konecny is supposed to be a first rounder this year, intriguing prospect. |

Flames were scored on enough already due to sven ...that's why we sent his ass down to the minors ..but if he is your answer to beating us then by all means dress him |

He's changed. He's a man possesed (insert AV). Apperently he said he doesn't even want to win playoff games in OT, only regulation ( insert Doughty). |

I think he said something about Bieksa schooling him when he came to visit Bo, so he can't be that good...... |

As much as I hate those cocky (frank)s, that arrogance helps in the playoffs.
The Canucks had some of it in 2011. |

They don't need a rest imo. WD has been playing a 4 line game and the 3 of them are all building on a good season and would feel ripped off if they were scratched. Lack needs time off... that's about it.

It's funny because Trevor Linden and Jim Benning and the nucks brass visited the San Antonio Spurs to benchmark how their organization is run, and they talked about how they can get the most out of aging star players.
San Antonio rests their top guys, and doesn't care what anyone thinks. Seems to work for them.

LA to me reminds me of New Jersey during the hey day of the dead puck era. Same idea (minus the clutch and grab), forwards who are mostly unremarkable but can score and a defense that has a Scott Neidemeyer type on it (Drew Doughty). Chicago on the other hand reminds me a lot of Colorado back in their hey day (minus Roy and Bourque) - DariusKnight
It just shouldn't be the case though when you have the likes of Carter Kopitar Richards Williams Brown Toffoli who should be pretty solid. Of those players though the only one that I think has the whole package of work ethic, skill and consistency (outside Toffoli who is too young to judge) is Kopitar. |

Did this management group actually 'turn it around' or was Torts that destructive to an already decent veteran team? - bloatedmosquito

Yeah, seems pretty risky. It's either going to be great or just a total disaster. Seattle makes the most sense to me, even more than Quebec since the Canadian dollar sucks. |

Agree with this. The Sedins absolutely needed rest spells under Torts when they averaged almost 25 mins/game. Not this season. If Miller isn't ready Markstrom should start against Arizona. |

Easier to do for them because they're always a lock for the playoffs and have home advantage locked up with multiple games left. That being said, I'd like to see the Sedins get a minute or two dropped off tomorrow and if the team wins I'd considering giving them basically 4th line minutes in the final game or even a night off unless they really insist that they don't want to sit. |

I'm betting Miller plays tomorrow or against the Oilers. He's gotten a couple of practices in and they'll want him to get a game in just in case Lack falters or goes down in round 1.

Agreed. Seattle is a dynamic sport-lover's market with good incomes and the potential for a great geographic rivalry against the Canucks, not to mention the potential for traveling Canuck fans to watch live games in Seattle for a fraction of the price. The main issue I've heard is that the Seattle ownership group seem to be more focused on bringing an NBA team back before hockey.
I've always found it interesting that Salt Lake City never gets mentioned with their focus on winter snow sport activities in the region. Milwaukee could be an option as well, or Portland. Aside from the Hamilton idea it does seem unwise to be looking at a Canadian expansion when the exchange rate is -25% to the USD. |

That's the thing, solid, not spectacular. They forecheck harder than everyone else and they have just enough talent/skill to take advantage of turnovers/giveaways. This is why I say they're reminiscent of NJ in the hey day of the dead puck era (minus Stevens and the clutch and grabbing) with how they clog up the ice with big bodies/positioning and forecheck harder than every other team. It also helps that Doughty can do most of the same things Neidemeyer could in his prime and that Quick is Brodeur-esque in his ability to stop the puck. |
