So, who you picking assuming we stay in the 7-8 range on this list? My dad is Mooseheads STH and raves about Meier. But, he did the same with Drouin, MacKinnon, Fucale, Voracek, and Giguere. - PhiFaninEdm
I love Meier just not sold he's a top 10 pick. But if they like him that much I'd still be happy if he was the one selected.
I have 5 names but I have no set order because I'd be happy with all of them.

He must have been happy with their game 7 OT win last night on the Ehlers goal. |

That's what excites me most about this draft... you think in your head "what happens if xxxx is taken ahead of the Flyers".. but then there is a handful of others that I would still be more than happy to see in orange in black! It's not a "if we don't pick in the top 3, the rest are all a crap shoot" draft.. There's plenty of opportunity to come away with a few solid players regardless of actual pick position. Makes it even sweeter that the Flyers have 2 first rounders! - WarriorHockey21
I read somewhere that NHL scouts were saying there are like 42 solid prospects in this draft. I wish I could remember where I saw that |

What a (frank)ing season:
*Voracek in the art Ross race
*giroux not far behind
*mason playing lights out
*Mark Streit's second assist of the game gave him 50 points on the 2014-15 season; the last Flyers defenseman to reach that milestone was Chris Pronger in 2009-10.
*two wins from the most wins at home since 2000-2001
*MISS THE PLAYOFFS - funmaster18
This is why I seriously don't think the Flyers are as far away from contending as a lot of people think they are. They're Road/Home w/l and stat splits are about as ridiculous as it gets. As well as they're performance when playing teams in the playoffs versus out. It's really been a bizarre season. |

Whats the hoopla with Zacha? I feel like a guy that big, fast and that skilled should be offensively dominant but his total arent all that great. |

Though I'm sure a good deal of it comes down to guys knowing how to defend against him now as well. - hereticpride
I think this is probably the reason why... even SO mavens like Jussi Jokinen eventually get figured out, and unless they have additional money moves they can pull out, their %'s will eventually fall back to the pack. Or, if you're a guy like Frans Nielsen, who's move is just so good it can't be stopped. |

Brayden Schenn can't help himself but score now. There's a couple of ways to look at it:
Glass half full: He's turning the corner and getting more offensive confidence that he'll carry into next year.
Glass half empty: He's been great ever since the games became meaningless.
Personally, I think the position change has helped. I think a new coach might help. - johndewar
this is the exact thought i had when i saw that poop goal go in yesterday. |

It's mind boggling how hit or miss this team has been. Great at home, terrible on the road. Great against top teams, terrible against bottom feeders. It doesn't make any sense! - funmaster18

I think it's less about finding specific things like speed or size and more about just finding more talent. They need players who drive possession. Whether those guys are big, small, fast or slow doesn't really matter. Can they make the players around them better? That's really all that matters.
Flyers have three players who consistently do that and they're all on the top line - PhillySportsGuy
I'm just calling BS that the team needs a specific upgrade, which happens to be a playmaker. If we need a playmaker, the Flyers could go out and get one. I could see the Leafs giving up on Kadri. The Oilers might be willing to part with RNH if they get McDavid (Unlikely). I just wouldn't shut the door on getting bigger and tougher for one or two other things. We have players to give up. The only two players who strike me as gritty on this roster is Simmonds and White. The rest are average to below average or aren't consistent in terms of willing to get their nose dirty.
I feel there is a large margin between Giroux to Couturier and Couturier to Laughton. |

I've already come to terms with the fact that if by some miracle he does drop, the Flyers would pass on him to take some toolsy big body like Carlo, Rantanen or Zacha.
They're tradionally really damned conservative in the top-15. |

I think the Pens might have to make some changes...
Too much jam $$$$$$$ on 3 players. 1 who is classified as best in hockey but is a Butthole.1 who looks like Frankenstein and is always yelling at his players and also is a butthole.. And the other poor Dman who has more injuries than Lindros..
Looks like butthole 2.. Franken-Malkin should be moved.
Ahh.... Poor Pens - 3flyerkids

If you can fill a need by trading Laughton, that makes sense, but no way is it reasonable to trade him because he hasn't met expectations yet in his 31 games played this season. That's way too small a sample for a 20 year old. |

And I liked what I saw from him in those 31 games. Maybe he coulda put up a few more points, but he was strong with the puck on his stick, and he was strong in his own end.
