the ONLY thing i've had an issue with in this whole tank is the instances of cheering on the other team in our home arena...classless.. - feetontheair22
What did you really want the fans to do? I have season tickets. It's been painful to sit there and watch games at times. I've always cheered when we've scored, but I'm not going to lie and say I haven't cheered for the opponent at any point, because I most certainly have.
Consider me classless all you want. I paid my $$. I can cheer how I see fit. |

I give you that.
I am watching the game at home, and cheer when other teams score against us, and wonder what the hell I am doing!!
But, then, I think how wonderful would it be to look at those Stanley Cup Banners hanging from the roof of FNC!!!
You gotta look at the future inn this, otherwise, you are going to go insane. |

Larsson was putting up very good numbers before joining the top line. He was getting the 14th most minutes at ES, yet was one of the top 5 best players on the team in nearly every measure here listed -- most notably his goals against per 60 minutes played, and Corsi stats. It shouldnt be surprising that his spark in offense comes from playing with more talented players as evidence by all the offensive stat increases.
To notice the kind of affect Larsson has had on Moulson and Ennis:
Moulson (w/o Larsson -- w/ Larsson)
P60 1.52 -- 2.30
CF% 38.83 -- 46.92
SF% 41.76 -- 51.76
SA60 33.51 -- 31.51
GF60 2.01 -- 3.28
GA60 2.49 -- 1.64
Ennis (w/o Larsson -- w/ Larsson)
P60 1.30 -- 2.22
CF% 36.27 -- 42.94
SF% 39.80 -- 46.97
SA60 36.05 -- 33.37
GF60 1.75 -- 2.54
GA60 2.66 -- 0.95
Larsson has proved his worth with his recent play, and it isnt some flash in the pan. When he was playing with bottom line talent, although he wasnt putting up points he was still one of the better possession and defensive players. He jumps to the top line, improves his offense, maintains and improves on his defense, all while taking on tougher competition.
TL;DR: Larsson is ready for a top 9 role in the NHL next season. |

I understand the future..and i am very much looking forward to the sabres brining home the cup......but it is very unlikely that cheering on the Coyotes is not going to change it...it just makes our fan base look like poop in the eyes of the NHL...giving them a reason to poop on buffalo as they so often love to do |

...whats next?...throwing our jerseys on the ice if TM doesn't follow the rebuild model that the fans want??...

It was a no win situation for the fans no matter what. We were criticized heavily last year for having a ridiculously quiet building. But what was there to cheer for? Well, this year the fans have a reason to cheer, but you don't like that reason.
To that I say "Too frickin bad." |

The fan base wants that special player just like the Pens,Hawks,Bruins,Kings have. 40 some years is long enough to wait. and the oportunity to get the 1st, let alone a generational talent doesn't come along very often. Sabres last 1st overall pick? Turgeon. Remember him ? |

I don't like that reason because i don't root against my team...no matter how bad it gets
did I hate watching them lose game after game? yes...did i realize it was for a reason? yes...but I can feel better when the sabres are hoisting the cup in 3 or 4 years knowing I never cheered when another team was beating them.....
and like i said before..if you want to root against ur team..thats your right...i'm not going to stop you |

I agree!!!!
No matter what the Sabres do or don't, we are being criticized.
Say I say, screw it, let's get a freaking superstar to help us win a damn cup already!
I am all for this TANK, and I would do another 100 times if I had to.
Do you think people give a crap when Chicago, or Pittsburgh TANKed, and won the cup!! NO. The only think that matters is that they won championships. THAT IS ALL. |

I don't know why people are stressing about this. We have absolutely no control over the outcome of it at all. I don't know about you, but I don't stress over things I can't change in any way. It doesn't do me any good, so why bother?
The cards are going to fall where they fall. Period. - HonkFortheGoose
Do you get stressed when they are in the playoffs in a close game? Why? You have no control over it and the cards will fall where they fall. Period. It's called being a fan. |

Dream scenario:
Islanders lose their last 2 games.
Penguins win their last 2 games.
Bruins win 2 of their last 3 games.
Senators win their last 2 games.
Red Wings win 1 out of their last 2 games.
Islanders miss the playoffs and Sabres get their 1st and win the lottery with it. Buffalo gets the top 2 picks in the draft. |

Larsson has been such a pleasant surprise this past month or so. I don't think many, including me, saw him as a big part of the rebuild before this recent stretch. It almost feels like we just got a new blue chip prospect, even though we've had him for a couple years now. |

They weren't necessarily rooting against them. They weren't being boo'ed . They were cheering goals. As few as we had seen by the Sabres, guess just seeing the puck go in a net caused a celebration.
That's my story and i'm sticking too it. |

Foligno has been pretty decent again lately. I still think he could be a valuable 3rd liner on a good Sabres team. |

Took him 2 years to start playing like he did. Yeah he is coming around . They all seem to be .Perfect timing . The summer will do them good. |

Foligno, Larsson and Bailey or baptiste can be a very effective 3rd line in the future

Or Arizona wins one of theirs. The Anaheim game seems likely because they can't really gain much else at this point. |

This would make my life... I know we all had the dream that we would get the Islanders lottery pick, but with how they played this year it didn't seem likely that our dreams would come true. If we seal 30th and they miss... that lottery gets a lot more interesting.
