Holy (frank) the Leafs are sad sack of poop, those guys have zero heart, Columbus is jus eating them alive.
- LeftCoaster

They're intentionally doing this. Their is no logical explanation for them to play this bad.

I honestly think this is blatant tanking.

My point was when GMs don't want to pay someone this year it cost you more in the long run. I am sure Benning could have signed Tanev 3x3 last year

I'm alright with the Sbisa signing, we need someone to shyte on when we put Bieksa out to pasture right?

So aside from the #1 & 3 picks who do you think the major piece was in the Kesler deal?

- VanHockeyGuy

I think MCCann is the biggest piece then Dorsett then Bonino then Sbisa. I think we robbed the ducks

I wonder if Benning really will be actively looking to trade Bieksa this summer. I think most on here agree that it's time but he seems like a Benning kind of guy.

Kesler is an excellent hockey player but he still hogs the puck. He went through a few mini slumps this season. Great defensively though as per usual.

D is always easy to criticise, Bonino started great, then went south, Sbisa the opposite.

It's a handcuff but also didn't seem to stop him from convincing Garrison his career path lied elsewhere. Would be nice to swap Bieksa for Garrison right about now. We desperately need an offensive Dman and PP QB with a big shot, even if it wasn't the most accurate.

If Bieksa won't accept a trade can waive him like Richards.

Go from there...

Perhaps they are signing guys to pick someone up just like that, Green perhaps?

I read somewhere that Columbus had the most man-games lost due to injury. I think they have a fairly strong nucleus and will make some noise in the next few years - if they can remain healthy (still unsure as to what's going to happen with Horton but that would be another great addition into the active roster if he manages to get back to health
- Zogg

Horton is now with toronto, his issue will guarantee he never plays hockey again.

I'm not sure if the NTC allows for being demoted or waived - anyone else know for sure?

I think they are both good players. I am not criticizing either

I did think about Mike Green as an option, but not if he becomes our most expensive Dman. He's had some injury history and no doubt will be looking for a final payday. Something like 4.5m for 3 years would be ideal, but he'll be looking for more than that.

I'd rather try to pry John Carlson from WSH dangling Bieksa, Jensen, and something(s) else but I'm dreaming...

I am probably mistaken, but NMC prevents being put on Waivers, not NTC

You are right sir, however my answer wasn't about Bieksa being on NMC or NTC it was in regards to can an NTC be put on Waivers? Though with Richards LA only saved 1mil in cap space, not the full amount.

Boston is in trouble.

Bob Mackenzie thinks it could be the end of either Julien or Chirelli if they don't make the playoffs.
