Boston is in trouble.
Bob Mackenzie thinks it could be the end of either Julien or Chirelli if they don't make the playoffs.

Canucks PK is 2nd best in the NHL.... pretty sure Sbisa is a big part of that and Dorsett helps out a bit as well.
I like the two signings!

Julien is a good coach but as we said with AV every coach has a shelf life. |

Just read in the Hockey News (who aren't big fans of the two extensions) that there exists the possibility the ceiling may drop a few million dollars from its current $71 million.
I'm not sure if that's common consensus or only their opinion but that would definitely put us, and certainly other teams, in a tight bind. |

I know. I will wait for our prospects to get ready. I think Sven will be our addition next year |

Bieksa for Marchand - VANTEL
Bieksa for Savard and a 1st at the draft. Savard retires July 1st and we use Bieksa's 4.5 mil for Green, and we get a lottery pick as well in a deep draft, problem solved. |

We don't have 4 th liners we have 2 x third lines.
Prust Ott Neal all make that type of coin. He is one of the best 4 th liners in the league. He brings so much more than just fighting
Sbisa , I have been on his side all year glad to see him locked up also even at 3+ mil per. - VANTEL
I do like the new Vantel, your positive attitude is refreshing...I also like DD and am glad he has resigned.
Now to everyone, Benning is the GM and if he thinks signing both players to the contacts he offered is fair, who has the expertise to question his decision...and if you think you do then, I suggest a future in team management. |

If they overpaid Tanev then they can overpay Pizza Boy.
I look at it as 3 young Dmen locked up for at least 4 years, you guys need to do less complaining.
3 of your top 6 Dmen secured for 13.2 mil per is a hell of a deal. I know all the GMs on here are appalled but their is a real NHL GM who lives the game that thinks this is a good deal.
Congrats Benning - VANTEL

You're a big fan, S?
I have to say, for me, once the hockey season ends, it is a hard withdrawal and unfortunately none of the summer sports do it for me (that said, I've gone to a few Whitecaps games and I confess they were very entertaining, so I'll probably go to see some. Still, just nowhere near as getting my hockey fix ) Anybody have any suggestions? lol |

He could be sent to Utica but won't be. Joe couldn't be sent down.
I have no idea what Benning does. |

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing that 71 was the target decided at the gm meeting but it is dependent on the players doing something. If the players refuse the cap is expected to go down.
Now why the players would vote against lower salaries, I don't know but iirc they would have to give up a larger portion of their personal saleries to escrow perhaps?? |
