i don't see how Lack does not start. - Beatle_john
Tonight or game one? I think he gets in tonight for sure but game one WD has to roll with the hot hand. If Lack falters in game 1 Miller will play game 2 if he plays well he stays in net. I have a feeling though that Lack gets hot and stays that way. He was dialled in last game. |

Miller has a limited NTC. His only desire is to play for any California team and I think maybe Arizona so he can remain close to his actress wife. (Though she is currently in Vancouver raising their baby)
San Jose is the only team that stands out that could be interested. - canuckfan069
Trade him to SJ for Thornton. |

I love the Sedins and they definitely more than earned their contracts this season, but I wouldn't call them a steal.
But right now, who gives a fck. It's playoffs. If the Sedins bring their feisty new play style into the post season, we could be in for a show. - CubanBuffet
I will endorse this. Not complaining but not a steal. |

If Malkin stayed true to his word a few years ago and hasn't changed his mind, if he's traded...he walks and goes to the khl. Only trade I could see that keeps him in North America is If he goes to Washington to play with Ovenchicken. - I-own_da-Northwest
I don't think he likes OV and KHL is in shambles this year.
Pierre Maguire on the 1040 the other day hinted very strongly Gino wants out of Pitt |

If the Pens want to acquire depth behind Cindy, they could get a TON for Malkin!! |

Looking at the faces on the bench in last nights game against the isles not one of them want to be in Pitt anymore. Crosby called for the puck a few times and his line-mate shot from a bad angle instead of passing for a better chance. No discussion on the bench about it after. They ignored Crosby as well as he ignored them. Not much communication going on there. I don't see them making it out of the 1st round. |

3 times I watched/heard Crosby call for a pass from Hornqvist and Kesler-esc he hung onto the puck and generated nothing.

Yeah I wouldn't call it a steal either.
Burrows on his old contract, now that was a steal.
Max Pacioretty, I would also call that a steal. |

I am truly surprised Higgins has been so snake bitten all season. Guy has great hands. Work ethic is unrivalled. Money in the shootout. I like Higgins. PK specialist. So many positives with this guy just has had a run of bad puck luck this season. |

Apparently the Flames game is at noon, if they lose we don't need any points against the Oilers...maybe we can sit the twins and a few other guys if that happens? |

Well I got plastered against the boards for my blog back in July.... but I think I did pretty well calling this season.

I like how the one guy got 4 of the playoff teams wrong. This is why predictions are so silly. You really can't guy how injuries, player development, age, coaching, etc. are going to turn out. There is zero certainty in any of it. That's what makes it worth watching. |

Miller was not brought in to do what Lu couldn't. Lu was traded after his situation with his wife and a series of grievances with management forced a trade. Miller was brought in to ensure that we had competitive, veteran goaltending. Miller certainly did that and with his injury, we got to see Lack prove himself. Miller is hardly an asset. He's a solid goalie getting paid a fair, if somewhat elevated, salary. If we trade him for anything at all and recoup that cap space, his tenure here will have been a success.
The playoffs could change the situation, but I think Lack has shown enough this year to make him the number 1 for next year. Markstrom can either be the back up or we can find some journeyman to fill in. If the cap space can get us an upgrade on D, I'd be all for it. - micah555
He's an asset if we can trade him to a CAL team. Aside from that I agree.
