Being forced to play with 5 dmen in a game that decides if you make the playoffs or not is a fireable offense to me. |

Winnik deal won't be as bad to swallow if GMJR resigns him, which is possible. Lovejoy deal sucked. Cole deal was great.
Perron deal ... looked great the first three weeks and now he looks like the same miserable player he did in Edmonton. Worth a gamble at the time, but now getting him and giving Edmonton a high first round pick isn't good. - Oneonta Penguin
I would have been happier if it were Sutter +BB/Harrington for Perron. The 1st stings a bit. If resigns Winnik great, if not then WTF? |

Couldn't agree more. I like many moves GMJR made, but ultimately his poor management of the cap doomed the team. That and a panic move dealing Despres who IMO took the fall for covering for Scuderi have lost my confidence. |

Pretty much, Despres carried Scuds back there...can't hide him anymore... |

Even if we get in, it's pretty much a lost cause. I see no way this defense is capable of NHL playoff hockey. Beyond being run ragged, they got one guy that's top 4 caliber. |

If both Pens and BOS lose Pens are still in right? IF BOS loses in OT, Pens lose Pens have the tie breaker? |

Boston has the tie breaker...Pens need to win, or a boston loss, an OT loss and the Pens lose in OT. |

There is plenty to be cranky about but it's a crap shoot tonight. Might as well hope for the best. Our icings for no reason by Cole and Spalling not real impressive, though. Seems to be a fair amount of yips in this team like a dog that's been beat too much. |

True. But at least the 1st rounder won't be in the lottery for another team. |

Yes, we win first tiebreaker. But if BOS wins in regulation or OT, and we get loser point then BOS is in. |

Wonder what Sid and Hornqvist could do with a lw.....
Winnik, Kunitz, Bennett, Spaling quite the depth chart at lw |

Yeah, I liked a couple games with Winnik there, but he's got hands of stone. It's nice to see a big guy open up some space and control the puck but his shot is worthless. |

Do I have the date wrong? This game looks like a Tuesday night in early November.
I've never seen a desperate team look so non desperate.
Oh well, they came out gangbusters last night and blew their wad so I guess I should shut the hell up.

So all the folks who wanted Perron acquired, how are you feeling now? I'm not even rubbing it in. Just asking.
This is the guy I saw in Edmonton. Streaky as balls. When he isn't scoring, doesn't bring much else to the table. Sound familiar?
He's a poor man's James Neal. |

40 more to play, BUT has anyone spotted any urgency and/or desperation?!
Unless Pgh changes the pace/ tempo of this yawner, the first goal/ win probability is looming large!
