23 man roster for playoffs.
- stackthepads

Can you send guys down and up anytime you want?

I can't stand seeing Adams and to a lesser extent Lapierre (we need to see If he can Help us in the playoffs).

Wilson, Rust, Megna, Farnham. Give us a couple to bring energy to the lineup.

I'm betting pouliot will be ready, especially given its the playoffs. Also heard hoff has been improving and he is close as well. They have 5 extra days to rest. I think they are both in

Are the Letang news for real? No chance to come Back?

That's what I've heard. Or at least his return is "unlikely". If it is a concussion, I find it interesting that they would be so quick to say that he's done for the season/playoffs.

I hope playing the Rags lights a fire on him. He'd be difference maker for us.

Got to figure the doctors are involved telling him to shut it down regardless if he feels better. That was a nasty hit to the head.

That's what I'm thinking. Im guessing with his history of concussions they are playing it safe. Play these playoffs and risk another injury and permanently end your career, or take time off to get 100% for next season

I'd imagine Ehrhoff is in the same situation but since he has "just one year left on his contract" they'll let him play. I'm just throwing this out there but these type of things happens

I don't know what you mean about Hoff and having just one year left on his contract. You realize he is an ufa after this year is over, right?

I don't know if there are any PSU hockey fans out there, but Casey Bailey got his first career goal tonight for Toronto with a nice deflection that slipped by Price. Wish the Pens pursued him.

That's what I meant. This is his Only year left so let him play even though he might have a concussion just as bad as Letang's. It would be a test to see If he can hold up and "possibly" be re-signed after this year or just let him go If it's a bad concussion.

Based on his injury history here, I WOULDN'T resign him if I were the Pens. I wonder if many suitors will back off due to his injuries sustained this year.

We're likely lose but I'm glad they made it. I was one wishing for some adversity this year and they sure had it. I think this team is battle hardened for sure. Just don't know about the talent level. But you never know come playoffs. Sid and Malkin go nuts, we get some timely goals, who knows. I just didn't want the Isles or Caps.

I'll say this...we win this series, I'll laugh my ass off.

Btw...one other positive of this evening just to keep the good vibes.... One Jack Edwards' team got bumped from the playoffs. Anything that f's with that dude, I'm all for.

There's one fan here. I said it at the time. Unfortunately, we didnt have cap space to sign him.

Ok... why do I see multiple people benching Spaling for an AHLer? Unlike Adams and Lap, Spaling has actually been driving possession and giving quality play.

Yeah, Spaling might be slightly overpaid, but Lapierre and Adams aren't even NHL caliber players.

Lets hope that "recency bias" RW talks about applies to trade value rather than a boosted vote of confidence from JR and co.

It will probably apply in both cases. Some team sees 20+ goals and will overlook the fact that he plays a lot of minutes and finishing is all he can do. Rutherford is probably also susceptible to such notions as well though.

Ok first things first - congratulations to the Pens for clinching another playoffs spot.

Second, playoffs are a different beast. Throw out the stats, the form guide or any type of prediction percentage meter, it's on. It's even Stevens & it's anyone's. Cannot give anything but you can take plenty. Game on Pens fans it's time to take Broadway by Storm & reduce the Rags to just that - garbage!

Glad we made it. Strange feeling this year, stumble in and we are all a little apathetic to the cause.

We want them to do well, but deep down find it hard to believe they will win the first round.

Either way its nice to make the playoffs with a roster that is bad but can win a game or two.

A couple of bounces for and we may get lucky.

Still lets keep fighting and see what happens.

The off season will be fun, we have two though processes as fans.

Those that want depth from trading a key piece and those that want to fix the depth with moving smaller pieces.

What I think we all agree on is we don't trust this management in its direction or process.

Lets go Pens.

A concussion is exactly why they would be so quick to call it a season for him.

Its a mistake to let any player that isn't medically ready play as we are starting to see leagues and in the near future organizations held accountable for player health.

I have a very well known sports doctor in my team - I coach a teenage footy team & he is a father of 1 of the players, & we were discussing concussions last week. Here in the pro sports they are all afraid of what's happening in the NFL & NHL.

He said that no matter what the teams or organisations want to do, it is the doctors livelihood & reputation that is first in line. Do you honestly think that a doctor will jeopardise his future in a situation like that? He for 1 would not & he commented that he didn't think there would be too many if any at all that would.
