Things I'm already sick of hearing/reading.
A MONKEY COULD DO WHAT TIM MURRAY DID
Then how come Darcy/Arizona couldn't? The only assets They have now are OEL, Sam Gagner, Max Domi and Brandon Gormley. Now let's compare rosters and I want you to tell me how a Monkey could still do what Tim Murray did. He traded a goalie with a .914 SV% for one with a .923 SV% AND a 3rd round pick. He traded a top 4 defensemen, a late 1st round pick and a leaving UFA for a top 4 defenseman and a first line left wing that was would have likely left this off season, also likely NOT to Buffalo.
Darcy did what any monkey could do. Traded their best scoring defenseman (at the time) AND their Number 1 Center.
HOPING YOUR TEAM LOSES FOR A HIGHER PICK IS EMBARRASSING
No, what's embarrassing is settling for mediocrity and being okay with being a bubble hockey team hoping for a 15 game win streak at the end of the season to have a chance at playing in the play-offs. The only way you change this is getting a Franchise game changing player. This is Buffalo. This isn't LA, NYC, or MTL. Face it, the only time "big market names" want to come here is if they have no other team that would take them and that we would severely over-pay for their lack of effort.
The way you get your own Franchise player is through the Draft. Look at Pittsburgh. Look at Chicago. Look at Tampa Bay.
WHAT THE SABRES DID WAS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE NHL. WHERE'S THE INTEGRITY?
Since when does not having a higher talented/skilled/coached team compared to the rest of the League (I'm talking ANY sport, now.) is all of a complete embarrassment? The Sabres' roster this year just wasn't good. You want to see embarrassing? Look at the Leafs sitting their HIGHEST SCORING FORWARD ON THE 4TH LINE and the total lack of effort Toronto has put in after the new year. Since the start of the new year, Toronto won 9 games with 4 OT Losses. Arizona won 10 games, with 4 OT Losses, Sabres won 9 games with 5 OT Losses. Yet in Oct-December, Toronto wins 26 games compared to Buffalo's 16 wins and Arizona's 18. Toronto was on pace to be in the Play-offs. But no, point the finger at Buffalo and tell us we have no integrity.
YOU'RE NOT A REAL FAN IF YOU'RE ROOTING FOR YOUR TEAM TO LOSE
Shut up. A real fan is anyone who spends their time and money to support a sports club. We pay their players. We pay for their venue. Without ticket and merchandise sales, they are NOTHING. If rooting for the other team to win ensures THE VERY TEAM WE FINANCIALLY SUPPORT a franchise generational talent that can help this team to it's first (and hopefully more) Stanley Cup(s), then so be it. I'm sorry, but I'm SICK of being a mediocre team. I want the Sabres to DOMINATE. I miss the days when I grew up watching LaFontaine and Mogilny just tear up the League. And I want the new generation of Sabres fans to watch something special.
Sorry for the wall of text/rant. Kudos to those who actually read it. I'm sure you could relate. |

I like the whites at home, but every year there should be 3 game where you wear dark. I remember when the changed it, and it was nice to see the darks at first. With 40+ home games, I have no problem with giving the fans a little of both, especially since it can be nice to see a few teams whites as well. |

The kings are such a model organization that they locked their own coach out of the locker room... |

I only own dark, mainly because I know my limitations and a soda spill or nacho cheese drop is easier to get out of dark. |

That's fine and dandy, my mick friend, but if the rumors are true that Eichel will go back to BU if they don't win, we need BU to win tonight. |
