If Comets played in Abby they could have called up Shink |

Move the older , more expensive Bieksa
Edler Tanev
Hamhuis Weber
? Sbisa - VANTEL
Bring in Coliacavo and let him fight for a spot against Corrado/Beiga/Clendening?
Or go after Green. |

Having a farm team on the other side of the continent is just plain stupid. Although Utica has a pretty big following. Great fans. |

Utica can keep the comets, we can have Abbotsford Canucks |

Why Vancouver didn't fight harder to get one of those California franchises is beyond me.

Abby would have a great fan base. Lots of support. |

I would be surprised if they chased Green
How does Hutton look? Will he be ready the following year? |

Would have been nice but can't happen now.
The good thing is our prospects get scouted a lot more out there. |

I think Gilli's was more concerned with having the farm team having the disadvantage of bad travel schedule.at the time there were very few teams out west. The new Cali teams change this obviously but I respect that linden has committed to utica, as you said great fans. |

He has only dresses in 2 games, comets are going for the kilpatrik trophy(presidents trophy) and are on a 9 game winning streak I believe so I doubt they mess with the roster too much |

Green is way to expensive I really wasn't serious.
Hutton I don't know? I can never tell with the college players as I don't see as many games. |

I honestly can see the Canucks going with the same D next year up to TDL . Biega Clendenning Corrado can step in any time. Hutton can develop and get a full year in the AHL . Canucks have lots of cheap options |

I think the biggest variable is the cap as it looks unlikely right now that canucks can resign weber.
Everyone always suggests moving the vets, Higgins, bieksa, hamhuis, miller, burrows but all have ntc and are harder to move during the summer when Ufa's are available.
Currently 17 players committed and almost 67 million. Cap is predicted between 69 and 73. Even if you try to fill those 6 spots with rookies it will be tough. For example virtanen and mccan's cap hit is 925k. |

I think Weber is an easy sign. He is RFA with . 860 k salary. Tell him we will sign you to one year deal for 1.2 mil for one year then we extend you during the year for a proper NHL contract seeing Bieksa Hamhuis come off the books at the end of the year |

Me too. Lack has gotta be the guy, but Miller is solid insurance. |

It's not ideal, but it's how it's gotta be. One game against the Oilers is not enough to get Miller ready after all the time he has missed. |
