Just him saying the entire staff and players will be evaluated. Seems like he's getting canned

Hextall has been saying the same thing for months whenever any question along those lines has been asked. I think the results of the season point towards a change being made.

Not even in a package?

We have about as much chance of getting Drouin.

Actually, if I was Winnipeg I'd make a play for B Schenn to pair with Ehlers. I think Schenn is a good fit there, or in Arizona with Domi and Duclair. Those are the kind of wingers he needs.

My early guess at the collectively highest rated prospect available to us at 7 will be werenski....If you put together all these rankings and average them out

Players often slip for one reason or another.

I know you guys are excited for the draft, rightfully so. Really this will help 2-3 years and I am hoping they improve things for next season.

I keep thinking about them getting a LW this summer. Someone with speed, and having shoot out skills wouldn't hurt. I doubt they will find a top pair D man, but the LW should be doable.

Also think a new coach could go a ways towards fixing their PK and road game awfulness.

Hate being out of the playoffs.

- Marc D

They're not going to have the greatest D corps next year (again), so they will definitely need to pick up the secondary scoring. 1 or 2 goals a game ain't gonna cut it.

I think Umberger's back, and hopefully with the injuries behind him he can produce again. A healthy Read will help (glad I was wrong about him).

I hope they can swing something for a LW, too.

Timo Meier of Halifax is averaging 7 shots per game (63 in 9) so far in the Q playoffs. That's up from 5.2 in reg. season.

This is what we could use, he's a RW/C but a shooter with another play making center would be nice.

Didn't realize Amac was draft eligible.

Mitch Marner was just injured so he could slip.

I don't believe any of us will see this man retire in our lifetimes.

Which potential draftee that might be drafted in the top 6, goes by the moniker Amac?

I think Hexy will make a run at 1 or 2, but the price will be too high. Depending on were the Tampa pick falls I could see him trading up to get a guy they really like if he falls. No idea who that would be. Just needed to switch gears from a long day of basketball.

Nobody is getting the first or second overall pick from whomever wins them.

I agree, but crazier things have happened. Mike Ditka traded all his picks for Ricky Williams (bust) and decimated his franchise.

Dallas built a dynasty by dealing Hershel Walker for a boat load of picks.

Agreed. I don't think there's any possibility those picks are moved.

No such thing as Zero or impossible. What if a team like Edmonton says we'll give you 3, 22, Eberle and next years 1st along with some prospects?

Then I'd laugh at Edmonton.

It could happen. But its not going to.

Again, I agree. Are these two draftees better than Lindros who got dealt? poop happens.
