Just take the best player and he'll make everyone around him better. Don't worry about position.
Honestly, if they take Hanifin, Provorov or Werenski, they almost guarantee themselves of having a strong blue line from 2018-2028. Thats a huge (frank)ing window to get some good forwards. - PhillySportsGuy
I generally agree with the bpa theory, but we're spade tight on d and lacking high end prospect forwards and there are strong forward prospects available, the only d I don't pass on is Provorov |

why? - hammarby31
Because I think he's he BPA out if guys who can reasonably be expected to be on the board at 7.
If he hadn't been hurt, and had as much opportunity to put up point, like Strome & Marner, I think he'd be in the conversation for third overall.
Great speed, vision, work ethic, smarts, two way play...only issue is he's got average size |

Even if I'm loaded at a particular position, I still take the BBA. Especially early first round. |

If they took Provorov, he'd instantly be their 2nd best D prospect behind Sanheim. Much as I like the forwards, Provorov is my 1-a pick |

D prospects are like pitching prospects, you can never have enough.
There is no guarantee these guys all work out. Theres a good chance 1 or 2 never develop into top 4 dmen. |

who is everyone rooting for this playoffs?
many will say chicago for kimo which is fine.
im an yzerman fan so i wont mind if tampa does well.
id like to see winnipeg and nashville go deep this year.
winnepeg doesn't have the "star power" that other teams have but they have a blue collar group of hard working, character guys. wouldn't mind seeing them get rewarded. |

alright then, who the (frank) do you think will be available at 7, that they end up picking? - hammarby31
I just think Povorov is moving up. He may go 3 or 5. Hanifin may still be on the board. Crouse, barzal, zacha, werenski. There will be lots of good players available at 7 or 8. I just don't think Povorov is going to be one of them. |

You asked me who I thought would be available at 7. If available I'd take hanifin, crouse and zacha in that order. Truthfully I haven't seen barzal who Jsaq likes. |
