who is everyone rooting for this playoffs?
many will say chicago for kimo which is fine.
im an yzerman fan so i wont mind if tampa does well.
id like to see winnipeg and nashville go deep this year.
winnepeg doesn't have the "star power" that other teams have but they have a blue collar group of hard working, character guys. wouldn't mind seeing them get rewarded. - black_francis
Chicago, if they reach the SCF, the Flyers get a second rounder next year. Also want Tampa to lose in round one, to make the pick Flyers got for Coburn better |

You asked me who I thought would be available at 7. If available I'd take hanifin, crouse and zacha in that order. Truthfully I haven't seen barzal who Jsaq likes. - mayorofangrytown
I started watching him more closely after a couple WHL guys were raving about him. |

I'd take the Bolts for Coburn, the Hawks for Timonen, but I think a Caps/Preds final would be a nice change of pace. |

With Kane's work on ice while Hawks were gone, I'm expecting 88 to be cleared 4 full contact practice tomorrow..Probable for GM 1 vs Nash |

That's why I think they take him. Because it's the most controversial pick they can make. |

They very well could pick him. But I think if they do, he would have a giant bulls-eye right on his back. More so than some of the other players they could pick. Because here is this kid, who is big and can skate, but hasn't produced at a junior level one would think befitting a high first round pick.
And when he is scoring 15-20 goals a year while other picks taken before and AFTER are possibly scoring 30.....there will be backlash.
Now, if he is still around when they pick again...then you LEAP at him. (highly doubtful of course)

I've been hyped on Barzal ever since he came back from the knee injury and I accepted the fact that we won't get Strome.
Barzal is the kind of player that will raise the game of the players around him. He's exactly the kind of guy they need at 2C. Then they can roll out Couts at 3C where he belongs and have three strong lines. |

I'm all for Sutter if he is available. Pretty much been very successful at every stop in his coaching career. I really don't know wtf is going on in that locker room. Lombardi would be a fool to get rid of him, but all the core is signed long-term so easier to replace the coach with a nice guy like John Stevens.

They want more upside so they'd take the Schenns over the 7th pick? That just doesn't make sense to me.
Plus they already have the Staals and Lindholm. I don't think BSchenn is a player they'd be in on. - hereticpride
No, my point was that we would like the deal, but they might want more upside. |
