With heads beginning to roll already in Toronto, I think there's going to be a flurry of activity throughout the league, as non-playoff teams start to race toward the available management guys and coaches.

Jagr signs with Panthers. Good move for them. He seemed reinvigorated down there. I can see then being a playoff team next year. Either way, seems like he is of great help to young players. It will give Florida's fan a chance to see an all time great before the team relocates to Quebec. |

Just went and ran a lottery simulator for the first time. It will be the only time I do it.
Columbus won it.
I wouldn't hate that and wow, that would put that team over the top. I'm a C-Bus (I mean JAX) fan after Buffalo so I'd have no problem rooting for them for the next 15 years, if they land McDavid. |

Depends
If he's on the 4th line (a very real possibility) then it's tough to see that kind of production from him with the limited icetime he'd get
If he's in the top9,
Then I could see your prediction come true
15g-25a-40pts would be a good season for him |

Have run it 100 times on the mark.
Won't do it anymore.
Buffalo: 21 wins
Arizona: 13 wins
NJ, Carolina and Toronto: 10 each
I hope Eichel decides to turn pro. |

With how he really wanted to play in the OHL to go head to head against McDavid, I'd guess he is a one and done college player. |

He is and has been surrounded by Professional and highly intelligent people throughout this process. He is at the Peak of his potential, there is nothing for him to prove next year in College.
When you are the BEST player in the NCAA your first season, you don't gamble and try and be the best again. It doesn't work that way. If he had a below average year and didn't see himself going until the 4th or 7th round, they he would have much to gain by staying another year in the NCAA but he was the BEST by a lot! |

Its a perfect storm for both of these young guys, they both are mature beyond their years and will build off their competitive nature by comparing themselves to each other. The NHL hasn't seen this since Gretzky vs. Lemuix |

There is insurance for that.
He could have those same injuries in his first year of pro hockey and he would still be missing millions of dollars as his first contract will not be for multi millions of dollars. |

I understand the limits of rookie signings. How much will he make in the NCAA next year?
How much will he make as a NUMBER 2 overall draft pick this year?
This is a needless argument. He is entering the draft. |

Him entering the draft was never the point.
Him turning pro is. There are/were rumblings that if BU didn't win the championship, he may return to try again. |

Besides the money, which is impossible to ignore, this is one of the most competitive kids there is. Do you really think his goal is to win an NCAA championship? Or is it a bigger goal? |

I was not arguing. Of course he is going to enter the draft.
He could still then go back to school. |

My decision would come down to where could I pull more ass? In college with easy college girls, or traveling from city to city with a full schedule... |

Michael-
The great irony of this year for those of us who frequent this site is that we had to look so hard for moments to be proud of on the ice. The talent there was very limited, and used sparingly. By contrast, here in these pages, we got a regular - almost daily - dose of really high quality stuff. Well written, informative, and meaningful content time after time after time. A firehose!
Thanks for your efforts, sincerely, and for giving us knuckleheads something to look forward to
Kaiser - Der Kaiser
I second all of this. And Kaiser, I believe I'm going with Redbreast 15 to celebrate. |

The team that drafts Eichel is going to hand him a jersey. An that jersey will be the only one he wears for the next 10+ years. |

On a side note, something I would like to see brought back is the Beyond Blue an Gold series...it was non existent this year minus the Reinhart draft episode.
I wonder why they did not continue it. I thoroughly enjoyed that series. |
