Have you applied for the TO GM position yet? - VANTEL
Only KB3P0 gets to do that.
The rest of us all suck. |

Oh boy...I'd much rather have those four spots...especially now that we don't have a 2nd rounder (because the rotations flip in the second round).
It's a tough one from a GM/coach perspective. Though you've got nothing to play for, you want your b-level players to get more time to shine...and guys like Miller to get some practice.
You end with Baertschi finally hitting the net, the twins in the top 10 in scoring, Vrbata having a career year and guys like McMillan getting his first point for the team...all good things for the GM looking better and the coach getting to use more players.
That said, you're slightly better off if they lose. The only good thing was that they knocked Calgary down another 4 spots for the second rounder.
And this of course all assumes that the team doesn't go on a tear... - Ronning4ever
I just don't think at that point in the draft those 4 position give much of an advantage, there are generally only 5 at most top players that most teams agree are a cut above everyone else, after that the draft becomes a lot more of a crap shoot.
In the 10 years between 2000-2009 there isn't a huge difference between those draft positons in quality of players. The best are Getzlaf (19) Giroux (22), Kesler (23), Burns (20), Rask (22), Zajak (20), Varlimov (23), Pacioretty (23). There are plenty of other NHLers in that group but many misses as well. I think you have just as good of a chance picking an NHL at 23 than you do at 19.
By the way Getzlaf/Kesler/Burns are all from the 2003 draft as well as Stuart (21), Parise(17), Fehr (18), Richards (24). Such a good draft.

What's even funnier is guys who think their is 10 000 miles difference between 18 and 20 - VANTEL
Or better yet paying a career high 18 goal scorer with 27 points 3.5 million. |

Or paying a Dman 4.6 that has 2 goals and 80 hits.
And no , thinking there is a huge difference between 20-18 is borderline retarded. |

I wondered why I hated it so much and then figured it is from some of the same folks who wrote and produced two and a half men.

Have never seen an episode and have no desire too. "How I meet your Mother" on the other hand, if it's on Netflix I may fire it up. |

I figure that your current ones are probably worn out from overuse so are probably due for a new pair anyway... |
