Based on team finish, the percentage chance of being selected in the 2015 Draft Lottery is as follows:
1. Buffalo Sabres 20.0%
2. Arizona Coyotes 13.5%
3. Edmonton Oilers 11.5%
4. Toronto Maple Leafs 9.5%
5. Carolina Hurricanes 8.5%
6. New Jersey Devils 7.5%
7. Philadelphia Flyers 6.5%
8. Columbus Blue Jackets 6.0%
9. San Jose Sharks 5.0%
10. Colorado Avalanche 3.5%
11. Florida Panthers 3.0%
12. Dallas Stars 2.5%
13. Los Angeles Kings 2.0%
14. Boston Bruins 1.0%
I hope the Coyotes or the Flyers win it...anybody but Toronto!! - LeftCoaster
Buffalo will win. League gets a franchise player in Phx and buffalo. To small markets. Couldn't have worked out better

Hey Lums, I thought Carlyle was the problem. 45 pts in 40 games. How'd the other guy do? Leafs should beg Carlyle to come back - Bieksa#3
Oh, Carlyle was a big problem. Not the only one at all. Horacek tried preaching responsibility and the team showed that they're incapable of being able to play a more sustainable game. Now we learned that we have many guys that we have to get rid of; and today the work began. |

- Scooby_Doo
Yes, but the top team only has a 20% chance. Of the fourteen with a chance, the Leafs have a better chance than ten of them. And worst case scenario in a marque draft is to still have a chance to pick an elite prospect

So Carlyle was a problem for getting the most out of his line up rather then exposing their weakness's? |

Oh, it's clearly his fault that they traded away anybody of value.
I'm not a fan of Nolan, but he was never in a position to succeed, and it is nothing short of a disgrace that he's been dismissed for being nothing more than a patsy to the whim of his GM's roster... - lumlums
Brutal. You intentionally put together one of the worst collections of NHL "talent" ever assembled and then after getting the desired outcome you fire the coach? He wasn't good enough at losing? He lost the wrong way?
Hockey Gods, if you're there, please give them the Oiler's treatment. Hiring Eakins would be a good start. He's good at losing. |

I don't imagine his "if u play well somebody might trade for u" comment did him any favors. |

Carlyle was a problem for being a blithering idiot who had no plan B beyond "Well, better send Phil out again!" |

No doubt. And it doesn't sound like they had a very good working relationship, which is a perfectly reasonable reason to fire someone. I still don't like it. |

Nope. He's a top pair on about 10 by my count. Obviously they're not the typically better teams. |

Forgive me if I take Canucks fans trade values with a pinch of salt after the Luongo debacle. I'm gonna put my trust in the guys who traded David Clarkson and his contract to Columbus. |

You mean took another bad contract back? That's what I suggested with the Detroit deal. Even through a pick in. |

I think that the return will be better than you think.
But simultaneously worse than many Leafers expect.
Dion, for his faults, is a D who plays some of the toughest minutes in the league and has been repeatedly invited to join the Olympic training camp. He has more value than many give him credit for, albeit with a poor contract tied to him. |
