I was really disappointed that we weren't able to sign him in the offseason, we need bigger skilled forwards That being said, I agree I could see him giving us issues as we no longer have any D that have good size and a physical edge.

I think the possession numbers are over-rated in terms of a single indicator of a teams successes. Ranger's score a lot off the rush which doesn't show up in Corsi. I always think of possession numbers in hockey like that in football. It is a nice stat. Something to look at when looking at the game. But I do feel it is weighted too heavily when looking at these things. I don't care what the Corsi numbers say, before clinching the president's, Rangers won 5 straight scoring 3 or more goals in each of those games before resting their players. To me, that is coming into the playoffs playing their best hockey.

Maybe I look at the game too simple, but if I am the Pens it is simple. 'We have 2 of the top 5 players in the world and a goalie that can steal a game (if he plays as good as he was leading up to the all-star game..), that mean we have a shot'

Spears and Cross Checks are a typical part of hockey. You see 50 of them a game and just wait to see which ones the refs arbitrarily decide to call based on their mood. Its now about doing it, its about where you hit a guy while doing it. Head and neck should be off limits.

Dubinsky already did a great job of shutting Sid down last year. He interfered with him like a mother(frank)er at every turn, but if it isn't called, cest la vie.
