Yeah, but is 1.5 years of Yandle worth your top prospect in Duclair, a first rounder and John Moore? - znagle
sure, if we win the Cup.

Easier said than done. This year I feel like any team in the East can win it. |

Ryan, puck possession has been an issue a good portion of the year for New York. They have been a team that wins despite those struggles. A good portion of Rangers' fans wish they were better in the advanced metrics, but as long as they continue to win- as they have to date - that weakness will be tolerated. I doubt they will change their style with the postseason upon us. - airjan23
I honestly haven't had a chance to catch many Rangers games this season aside from the Pens/Rangers or Lightning/Rangers games... Do they tend to score more off of the rush, as opposed to in zone cycling/in zone possession? It seems like many of the highlights I catch are odd man rushes and what not? I know Hank and Talbot have been pretty much incredible, both in top 10 in SV%, right? I'm just curious to what the Rangers gameplan is... they had the highest goal differential in the league so they've gotta be doing something right. |

I feel like both conferences have about 6 teams that could conceivably get to the SCF. |

I can't imagine when the Penguins were favorites anyone trying to make the Corsi argument why they were going to win, I'll give you that |

How does everyone feel about Chris Kunitz? Has everyone realized he's not the player he used to be rather than someone in a slump? |

The rangers top prospect was and still is Buchnevich... Just saying. Also, with Kreider, Nash, Zucs, the emergence of Miller, the ever complete-player Hagelin, and a 3rd line MSL, where would you expect the Duke to play? |

Isn't he one season removed from being an Olympic Gold Medal winner who made it 100% solely on his own merit? |

He can fill in on whichever line it is that Nash disappears from come April. |

I'd like to see him traded in the offseason, personally. He's not getting any younger and that would free up cap space in case Duper comes back. If not we could use the space for other things. Maybe we could get a 2nd or 3rd for him at the draft? |

last year he had 53 points from the blueline, this year he combined for 52.
If you think it isn't an insane bargain in this league to have a defenseman capable of hitting 50+ points with a 2.6 mil cap hit I am afraid for you - jimbro83
Thanks, Sally for being afraid for/of me.
It is a bargain, for sure. but I will bet you that his production on the Rags won't come close to what he did with the Coyotes. And yes, $2.65 mil cap hit is nothing ... but I was talking about all the other issues that you will have.

yeah, because Phoenix is such an offensive powerhouse and the Rangers will be loaded up front still next year.
Only Tampa scored more goals than the Rangers did this year. I think Yandle will have many opportunities to pile on points next year |

I am a bit biased against Kunitz. Always saw him as a yapper and hard hitter who never got tough until the officials were close at hand. But he was a damn effective player during the 2 Cup runs. |

He had such an obvious decline last year after the olympics...but I got made fun of on here for saying he was having a real decline rather than just fatigue after the olympics. crazy part is that he lost his hands.
I'm not sure there are many fits out there for him on the trade market anymore...except for maybe a team like the Sabres. |

The operative word in the previous post was APRIL. That's the month when the playoffs start, and when Nash goes from producing 0.43 goals per game, to 0.12 goals per game. |

Is that the same Rick Nash who had a staggering 3 goals in 25 playoff games last year? The same who had a whopping 1 goal in 12 playoff games the year prior, and 1 goal in 4 games the only other year he made the playoffs?
Man, dude knows how to show up when it matters. |

PHX is not an offensive power-house, but Yandle and Oliver Ekman-Larson were their top point producers. |

I know, just being a pain But in all seriousness, watch how effective Nash is away from the puck and how strong his defensive game is this series. Even if he goes away on the score sheet, Nash is still an incredibly important player for the Rangers. He doesn't get as much credit as he should. |
