I know some things, I know Crosby was invisible against the Rangers last playoff series. |

Just tell him that the Pens are going to suffer the same fate as the speaker of that line.

What is the old saying, offence wins money, defense wins championships. I can remember when the Pens won their first cup they did a lot of sitting back and waiting to pounce on a mistake the other team made.
When the Pens won in 1992 they were down 3-1 to Washington, Mario went to Scotty Bowman and said let's play a 1-4 delay and from that point on they went 15-2. I want to see good offensive hockey as much as the next guy but championships are won with defense. - Thunderbolt
The Penguins won both their cups in the 90's as top offensive teams. They were the 2nd worst defensive team in the conference in both '91 and '92. |

Yes, but can it be an above-ground cave? I like those better. |

That's a pretty huge stretch considering Crosby has 24 points in his last 27 playoff games (that would be the past 2 years) and in more than half of those games he was playing with a broken jaw. Crosby has traditionally produced at such a high level, that any dip in his production gets scrutinized to the nth degree.
Nash hasn't done diddly squat that even bears comparison. Just do everyone a solid and admit you were talking out of your ass without any basis in fact and we'll call it even. - Emperor Filonius
It wasn't a comparison of players as far as who is better and who has overall better playoff numbers. Nash has a lot to prove but seeing as the consensus best player in the league, of course being Crosby, has not delivered in the clutch lately either that was the only similarity I brought up. Numbers-wise, via postseason, Nash has a lot to prove this spring. That was never a debate. |

I have a caveman-like beard already; that's as far as I'll go with this whole theory of yours though. |

Just saw the NYR space on Hockey Buzz. Nothing but game-by-game blogs. Where is the controversy? Where is the doubt? Where is the fun? |

Here is a trophy for that achievement. I suggest putting it in the case next to the "Rangers almost won a Cup last year" trophy.

Why don't you go back to your suck-off session on your own board? There's no Penguins fans posting over there.

The Pens, under Bob Johnson, and the addition of Ulf, really buckled down in the defensive zone during those runs. If it wasn't for that, Pens would have went nowhere.

Lord I hope not. Most caves up north don't have cable. |

I think Pittsburgh stands a better chance on the road in a Game 7 these days. Three Game 7 losses in Pittsburgh recently. I certainly would feel better about it.

Yeah, it definitely had nothing to do with Lemieux finishing with 44 points in the postseason you idiot.

If so, we copied the Rangers design. Its a well used template. |

Says the Rangers fan trolling the Penguins board. You may have noticed I haven't made a single post on your board all season. Maybe you'd care to afford us the same courtesy? - Emperor Filonius
Maybe I will. Good chance of that actually. |

Rangers have the two best players in the league, finish first almost yearly only to lose early and blame everything on injuries too?
Damn. |

Ron Francis helped with his strong two way play or doesn't that count. Yes Lemieux had a lot to do with winning but without Francis and Samuelsson we don't win. |
