i need a new 21. Hope Laughton settles into it next year |

I bet they'd give a couple of those up for a Nick Grossmann at the draft. - JAKEw1234
Sure that was TIC, but they might part with one of them. Maybe even sweeten it. Competent Dmen are very expensive $$ wise compared to Grossman |

I'm not sure how you can admit that we need to improve on defense and believe we underachieved vastly. Bad road record, bad PK, bad defense. Yes we matched up well against good teams but we blew it against bad teams, which is pretty much a wash.
Nobody in here has shed any light on the fact that after the trade deadline, we were in the hunt to make the playoffs and the Sens were behind us. We should be embarrassed that they were able to celebrate their playoffs birth on our ice. This just isn't a good team regardless of whom we've been able to defeat. Other bad teams this season have beaten good teams this season as well. I wouldn't put too much stalk into that. - SuperSchennBros
New season. Fix the PK, and that road record (and home) goes up a few ticks.
Even with the poor D corps, I just don't see this team as a 30th ranked PK perennially. Seeing that improve will put the team in a better position for playoff hockey. That's all I'm saying.
The Penguins can admit they need to improve their team and underachieved vastly this year, also. What's the difference? I absolutely believed this Flyers team didn't play even close to as well as they are capable of. |

If our road record matched our home record we'd be 46-22-14. That's 106 points and would've put us at 6th in the league this season. - JAKEw1234
Thank you.
But to a lesser, more "realistic" scenario...bring the away record up just a few wins. Just 3. Maybe they hold a few leads on the road next season. That's 6 points. Then look at OT/SO. 18 games they lost in extra time. 18! Bring that down- get a couple lucky bounces. Bring it to 13.
That's an 11 point swing, just like that. Suddenly the team is at 95 points. Is that REALLY anything incredibly unrealistic to see next season? 3 more wins on the road and a 3 good OT bounces and 2 less posts?
That's what I'm looking at. This team can play better. They showed it against playoff teams. When they want to play, then can play with the best of them. That's why I think it's time for a new coach. You can't trade the team, so try a new coach. |

The Penguins lost Kris Letang and Efghani Malkin down the stretch. We don't have those caliber players at all. Voracek had an impressive season and we can give him the elite tag now but Voracek doesn't have the resume Letang and Malkin have.
This current team from game 1 to game 82 is a shell compared to past average Flyers teams. |

one thing i definitely think works in his favor, along with the speed of his release, is that he can pull up extremely well. he really doesnt seem to need to take the time to set up as much as others in the past. |

He's unreal. When he gets hot, it's the most exciting thing in the NBA. It's so funny to watch an entire team just chase him around |
