I don't know of anyone who wouldn't want that.. But Streit is moveable... McDonald - nobody wants to touch that contract with a 100ft pole.. - WarriorHockey21
Doesn't have a NMC?
That doesn't make him that moveable.
I think you could find someone to take MacDonald. Might not get the return you gave up but I think there is a deal. |

Streit is a 4/5 defenseman with a PP specialty. Assuming he wants to move if asked, I'm sure there are a number of teams who would take him. |

I think they would really look at moving MacDonald over Streit if they wanted to clear some cap space. - J35Bacher
What team is going to take MacDonald and all of his salary? |

All teams pray that their team and players develop.
Even with two picks this year we are still hoping they pan out.
I also said I think one of Read, Simmonds or Schenn are moved so my lineup will change accordingly. I was only going with what is there right now. - J35Bacher
yeah, but there is praying and then there is PRAYING. Personally I think that is what has got the team in the predicament they are in. They have overvalued some players and counted on a progression that just isn't there yet. I have absolutely no confidence that a lineup featuring G - Couts - and Laughton/Cousins can legitimately compete for the SC.
There is just not enough skill after G. |

There might be but if he doesn't want to go there you can't force him.
MacDonald doesn't have any stipulations on his contract.

I meant as far as people wanting him, he's moveable. He has a NMC, but I'm sure if he was "asked" to waive it, he more than likely would. I'm sure he'd have his choice of teams to whom he could go, if that would happen. |

So, if they supplemented that lineup with McDavid, Crosby, Weber, Tavares, Benn, Lundqvist, and Keith, they cannot compete for a SC because they have those 4 players? I am very confused. |

Yes, however, Streit's contract is manageable while AMac's is atrocious. I'd think you could talk Streit into waiving his NTC more easily than you could get another GM drunk enough to trade for AMac (without taking a horrible return). |

re:mason and shot blocking he's right. cost me the game last night. d backs in, let's the guy cut across the slot a bit, screens me, deflects the shot off his stick and it goes blocker side off the cross bar and into the net. never got a good look at the puck. game winning goal with 1:30 to go in the 3rd. i'm still mad. nice work, Richard head. |

And we know this for sure?
I know it might be a tough, but people can be moved. I think you could find a deal if need be. Just like I think you could find deals for Grossmann and Schenn if needed.

If AMac only had one year left or his AAV was $1M lower, I'd agree. But that contract is just bad, and I doubt many other GM's want to be tied into it for that long. Schenn and Grossmann's deals don't have 5 more years on them. |

So if you attached the chicago 2nd rounder to AMac you can't move him?
Just depends on the give and take.

Well in that case, you could find a taker for Mike Richards if LA included 25 consecutive first-round picks.
I thought you meant by himself and for value, not as a dump. |

I think everyone agrees with him... problem is, who is going to take him, where the Flyers don't have to eat salary?? He's screwing the Flyers, being on the Flyers... and he would screw them if he went somewhere else and they had to eat salary. At this point, the only viable hope is to have the new coach work him in somewhere until he retires next season (we're praying).. Unless a miracle happens and a team needs to hit the cap floor and takes his full contract on.. |

Yea. When we trade Grossman, Sanheim, and our 2 firsts to Pittsburgh for Craig Adams, I'll be stoked. Because that's what we're talking about, adding more assets instead of just the players themselves. |

i do. and that's no joke. not on that play, but i'm struggling with catching pucks lately. a lot of pop outs. it's driving me crazy. led to a goal last night. nevermind that it was a powerplay and the rebound went to a guy directly in front of me with nobody near him off a point shot. my d is really horrendous. they just don't understand simple positional hockey and constantly have guys behind them. i routinely have 3+ breakaways a game, not to mention eve more 2 on 1's and 3 on 2's. on another sequence that lead to a goal with :25 left in the first there were 2 forwards behind my one d on a goal mouth play off a cycle at even strength. seriously, how does this happen? i got a piece of the cross ice shot with my left toe but the puck laid there for the forward to jam in the rebound. moving the puck out once they get it is pretty good, but getting caught in the neutral zone for cherry picking or bank passes of the wall or defending in our zone is just brutal. |
