haha, no worries, just found it amusing.
and sorry for your taste in music. - stashu
I listen to all genres but Rap, I detest Rap.
I am actually heavier into Celtic and Classical music than any other genre at the moment.
I just like writing, I do a ton of it so when I do, I write a ton of Country lyrics, country songs along with my poetry. |

Well, another NHL season has come to a close for our Buffalo Sabres and I will miss hockey by our boys for a few months while I try to make life easier and more enjoyable for those out in the real world in many different ways.
With that said, I hope all of y'all have a safe and enjoyable summer with you and your families as well.
If I met you out I wouldn't mind sitting and talking hockey with any of y'all and having a few "how do you do's".
Please just do me a favor, while driving through posted work zones please be sure to follow the posted mph while driving through, it is much appreciated not only by me but by all the other Mommy's and Daddy's that work in any work zone.
See y'all when I see ya so just be safe so we can dig into one another again when a new hockey season begins once again for our boys in blue and gold. - BuffaloHardHat

there was a scorched earth rebuild that went along with the tank. a bunch of core players that two gms deemed should not be here going forward on expiring contracts, and a new gm that wanted to take the organization 180 degrees away from the previous one. i certainly wont deny that replacements were not brought in to assure several more years of mediocrity, and some young players were left elsewhere to develop, but i would think the greatest tank job in sports history would have players of skill actually throwing games. say what you will, there were no players on the ice this year that looked like they were in on it. - rover16
I really dont believe many players could actually throw games. I just dont. I could be wrong but IMO it doesnt matter because coaches and players are never going to play entirely to lose, and if they do it certainly didnt happen for us.
I dont think having a historically bad season to finish last place is an easy task we witnessed that this season. Having two in a row is even less likely. Murray wanted(needed) to get last this year though, a real prize is at the top of this draft.
I think its impressive because murray got it done at a critical time, having to go wire to wire with two contenders right on his trail, and one who surely made their run a little too late. Despite a weaker conference, keeping nolan and his reputation of getting players to lay it out for him every night and some long stretches of outstanding goaltending. |

The Leafs are planning to Tank/rebuild next year. Do we get to tell them how much of a black eye on the sport this is all year long?
The Hockey Hall-of-Famer acknowledged that the current roster has some quality pieces that will remain past this summer’s expected teardown, but the extent of the changeover will not apparent until after the completion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. |

I'm bored so:
Grigorenko - Eichel - Ennis
Kane - Reinhart - Hodgson
Moulson - Girgensons - Larsson
Foligno/Deslauriers - Foligno/Deslauriers - Gionta
3 solid lines if Grigs keeps playing like he has been and Hodgson starts playing well again. As for Gionta on the 4th line, it's really either him or Larsson and out of the two Larsson is the one who would be playing for us in the future most likely.
Thoughts?? |

People always point to this as the reason Nolan won games, or previously won games with Hasek, DiPietro, Enroth etc.
Is there any credence given to the fact that all these goalies seem to have career years under Nolan? Seems if there is an area he can hang is hat on it would be that he gets the most out of average goalies
.....and before someone points it out, I'm not calling Hasek average |

I'm wondering if GMTM has a move up his sleeve this summer. McEichel/Rimehart/Girgs is a young center core. I have to wonder that unless Rinehart is just a beast in Training camp, he see some rochester time. And if we draft Eichel over McJesus, Eichel as well. I've mentioned this before, but we're going to be very young next year and I don't want to make the same mistakes Edmonton made.

I could care less about all this talk of us making the sport look bad or whatever.
Murray did what any GM would do.
ACTUALLY...
Murray was able to bring back Moulson, and sign Gionta, and get Georges to waive his ntc to come here.
A LOT of ppl actually thought we would be last BC of these move.
I was a little worried myself.
But now we're moving forward & Idc about all this nonsense anymore
Toronto will do what they'll do, good for them. It won't bother me at all if the media doesn't accuse them of tanking.
All I care about is how we're finally on the road to get better!

edm also didn't have much depth or skill to surround their top guys (who also aren't even doing bad/ruined, the rest of the team just sucks), I'd say Ennis, Kane, Grigs, Hodgson is a nice collection of talented players, and Girgs is mature enough already.
Also there would be 3 solid lines as opposed to basically edmontons one, sorta 2 since yak, plus actually good D to play with. |

Lead the team in points for the 2013-2014 season? I'm just going with what Jfits (probs butchered name) was suggesting earlier. He obviously has skill, more confidence/icetime/good line mates could spark him again. Him on the 2nd is still more useful than him on the 3rd/4th, whereas Larsson could fit a third line role. |

U have no center on the 4th line
Foligno did it for a few games. But that was just an experiment by Nolan BC he wanted Hodgson on the wing & there was no one else at the time.
Gionta is the captain & an established nhl vet who's won a cup. Sure, at his age he no longer possesses the skill of Hodgson or Grigorenko or Larsson, but he has a spot in the top9 to start next year. Those other guys will have to earn their icetime.
At least one of them is gonna end up on the 4th line, at least to start.
Maybe 2 of them if we bring in another forward or two?

We're in much better shape than the Oilers were.
Our defense has already started to develop. We just have to find a goalie. I think Murray will make a move this offseason to bring one in |

As much as I want them to do well next year, im not super getting my hopes up. I'm sure a different coach will see talent where it is and keep playing those players in their spots through the good and bad.

Switch Gionta/Larsson, then move Larsson to C and keep Foligno at LW |

Let's say the sabres win the lottery(big if) and murray just wanted to go for it all. Some of us Suggested trading pieces to Arizona for domi(pair with Reinhart). What if murray tries to trade Reinhart ++ to Arizona for the second overall. We get eichel. They put together a line of domi Reinhart duclair. I would throw them our second first this year and our first next year . Not sure if Reinhart, a late teen pick, and probably top 10 next year gets it done tho[/img] |

I like the idea of Grigorenko & Hodgson being in the top9
Those guys have too much skill to be buried on the 4th line
We also have McCormick still under contract, so Larsson might start in the AHL, and Reinhart might start there as well.
It'll be very interesting to see what the new coach does. |

I'm ok with one of them being here, but I want a guy who has potential to be our "franchise" goalie for the next 10yrs or so brought in |

The question you have to ask yourself is, would you make that trade if it was you holding the 2nd overall pick?

I think the mistake being made with offers involving 1 and 2 (and im not directing this at anyone specifically) is that a fair deal isn't going to cut it.
The trade will have to be one that, in terms of value, makes little to no sense for the team acquiring that pick other than the fact that they *could* get the best player in the deal. |

I doubt Arizona trades that pick
And I'd be surprised if Murray would pay that much
I think we are in GREAT shape at center for a long time
I'd rather use that top10 pick next year on a winger or defenseman
And use the late 1st this year to trade for a winger or possibly even goalie

Bryan Little is really good.
Scheifle (sp) is an emerging talent as well
I have no doubt Kane will return to scoring 30 goals pretty soon. I also have little doubt that Eichel would make most decent wingers a lot better. Kane being worth the package we gave up is what the question is - sbroads24
Just had to say, we gave up a 1st for him. Myers for Bogo. Then Stifford as a throw in and Armia and Lemeiux. Both of whom will probably never pot 20 goals in an NHL season.
So it was a 1st and Stifford for Kane, and Myers, Armia and Lemeuix for Bogo.
Or. A 1st, Stifford and 2 b-level prospects for Kane and Myers for bogo. Either way, it was basically a 1st and Myers for Kane and Bogo. Staff was a UFA and prospects are just that. It really wasn't that much. |
