my point is you can't run from the numbers. flames had a great season, great for young players experience, great for fans, great for the city. but if you're expecting playoffs year after year now, you're being ignorant

Nurse will only be, probably at best, where Klefbom is now. Defence has to be beefed up big. Better support cast up front. 2 quality goalies.

I don't see them competing for a wildcard for 3 years. They just have not given me a sign for optimism.

The difference is we already have guys like Hall, RNH and Eberle to go with McDavid. Who on Buffalo does McDavid have? They have a lot of solid young players, but they are quite raw at this point.
