27 year old Schneider coming off a .927 season went for a 9th overall pick.

What do you oiler fans think of Craig Anderson or Robin Lehner? I think Anderson would finally give you guys some stability while Lehner would be a bit more of a gamble. I'm wondering what a decent trade around him would like and what we could get in return. - karlssens65
I would take either, would prefer Anderson cause I liked him since he was in Colorado and I think he would give stability.
Now.... What I would give for him isn't much unless it's bundled with one of the Sens D prospects.... What would Ottawa want? They have to dump a goalie anyways! |

The only constant in this whole debacle has been location, they should move the team and I think there would be instant results. |

Spoke to NHL agent who wonders if this could happen: Leafs & Oilers swap No. 3 & 4 picks, Phaneuf goes to Edmonton, Leafs eat some money.
Adam Proteau @Proteautype 5h5 hours ago
Under that scenario, Leafs would get Strome, Oilers would get Phaneuf and Hanifin.
I mentioned this scenario a while back, I'd be interested if Toronto retains 1.5 million. |

I think most teams would take Neon Dion at 5.5m-6m, anything more could hurt a teams cap from trying to resign their own Dmen.

But if he's assuming we want Hanifin, then they're gonna get strome anyway....why add phaneuf?
Unless they just want rid of the contract
or
Mact has em convinced were takin strome unless they hook us up |

MacT would need to get other teams like New Jersey on the phone and get some offers for that pick and force Toronto into a move. |

Drafting a D-Man at this point doesn't help the team for 3-4 years anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if the Oil would draft Strome at 3. That said, Phaneuf (salary retained) now and Hannefin in 4 years would be a great scenario. |

Because of the length of the contract I'd personally prefer they retain half. |

Lol I think every gm shares that sentiment but it won't happen. I can't see them doing more than 20% and that's probably absolute maximum and they expect a good return from that. |

it all depends on who they feel has the higher ceiling.
but theres a strong possibility that strome doesn't help for 3 seasons either. especially since we have a guy slotted in ahead of him already in draisaitl.
I wouldn't be shocked if they went after strome instead, but certainly disappointed.
hanifin or trade the pick for immediate help |
