I think the preds seem to be everyone's popular choice to faulter ...if they are healthy they are very solid team .... When looking at the jets and wild I think they are just entering the stage of being consultant playoff teams ...I really like what the jets have done and what they have coming very soon ...we will both be in tough next year
- Redmile247

Kane is also cleared for g1 so Nash will have a tough time

I still say Chicago is one of the teams to beat - even without Kane

That said, Nashville has quietly put together an excellent year, so it should be quite exciting

I think NSH's modest outlook largely has to do with their opponents. CHI is THE team to beat IMO, and with Kane back they look to be too much for NSH. That said I don't anticipate a sweep either. CHI in 6.

Stirring the pot a bit I guess but there is a more than a kernel of belief that OTT's torid streak that got them into the playoffs won't suddenly stop at Game 1. MTL is the better team but OTT will give them hell. Not sure what the situation is with the injury to Patches either.

WPG over ANA is a pick I actually believe in. Watch this space.

I also was close to picking MIN over STL for what it's worth. This is a playoffs that, aside from CHI and NYR, will be difficult to predict for most viewers.

I just went to check the scores out of habit. (frank), I hate the gap between the regular season and playoffs.

Agree with most here, although i have Min over Stl and Nsh over Chi.
There are usually at least one upset in the first round, even against the better teams on paper.

Exactly why I wouldn't bring Kane into the line up until he is absolutely healthy or needed. I think CHI can get by NSH without Kane, a collarbone injury isn't one that can be easily taped up or masked with injections.

Good point. I would leave him out until they get a pulse on what the series is going like. If Chicago is behind I'm thinking that Kane is inserted into the line-up no matter what

Fair picks. we're pretty close for the most part. I have CHI over NYR in the final.

I think if Price stays healthy they can win the cup(Esp if pacioretty comesback in r1/2). if Chi and Mtl play finals it is a low scoring game, i figured av of 5g's/game so picked 35g total.

Quicke re: Playoff Pool

Nucker is in the process of setting things up so please stay tuned. We should have all the information shortly. But I can tell you it will be a box draft so it will make things easy on everybody (Marwood - don't worry, it's a one time thing) and yet still remain competitive, as you will have to pick some 'non-sexy' picks from teams that you feel are going to go all the way.

Stay tuned shortly

Leafs fan coming in peace. And please don't trick me cos of my allegiance.

Do you guys have any injury issues for the playoffs?

Is Richardson out all the 1st round? And I'm assuming Miller won't play 1st round?

Thanks

P.S. If any of you guys are alive when the Leafs next make the playoffs and need any updates, just ask me.

If you look over on nhl.com they have their bracket challenge so you can see the potential 2nd round matchups. We would play the winner of ANA-WPG.

The winner of WPG/ANA, then the team out of the central then the team from the east.

Seems like Richardson practiced today and slotted in for Vey on that line. Miller is good to go but no one is sure who WD will pick for Game 1. I'm guessing they roll with Lack until he falters.

Thanks man. I'm guessing you guys will be OK against Calgary (easy for me to say). Anaheim will be tricky. God they're annoying every year with only Perry and Getz worth going for early.

Richardson skated with the team this morning, he could be in.
Matthias missed the last couple of games but is expected to start.
Kassian may or may not currently be on planet Earth, reports differ.
The Canucks have done everything but scream from the rooftops the Lack is starting.
Hamhuis probably hasn't fully recovered from a groin injury suffered early in the season.

That's the extent of my knowledge.
