Spray them with a water bottle when or if you catch them doing it...our (my wife's) cat used to scratch on the couch, sprayed her with the water bottle for a few weeks and she stopped, forever.

they never do anything bad when we are home, everything is always done when we arent home, and certain cords(primarily electrical) can't be hidden 100%.

Yes spraying cats with water while they chew electrical chords often turns out well

I watched Dorsett annoy and shut down Crosby last POs. I hope he can do the same to Monahan.

I think once you get by the top lines we have a small advantage

- VANTEL

Whoever comes out of the Anaheim Winnipeg series will be pretty beat up. I don't know if ours will be that physical in comparison. Not having Gio in the line up will play a big factor in their post season.

Well read that philly is disappointed in how he is progressing which for a second line LW is fine with me. For the right price. Adds some scoring and a more physical element.
- manvanfan

The right price will be high. Unless they want. Jennings Gaunce type ( which they don't) keep developing and drafting.

I am sure we will have Sven on the club next year and maybe one or two more.

I don't want them to stop simply because they committed suicide. They are afraid of my 2 year old though, maybe we should make a cardboard cut of of him and plant some all around the house.

Speaking of cats, any way to get them to stop chewing on cords? We've gone through about 6 cellphone chargers and they have both started chewing in electrical cords. We bought a spray, but they don't care. Both cats are indoors and the wife is 100% against them being outdoor cats.

Water bottle is an acceptable deterrent but you have to be careful how you use it. Sometime the cat will associate the spay with you instead of the electrical cord.

The reasons why pets become destructive is boredom. 80% of an animals energy is spent on survival (hunting, hiding, mating, etc). We take those natural life pressures away from an animal when they become companions. What do they do with all that energy?

As a pet owner your trick is to find some activity to fill that void. Some animals over eat, some become destructive, some just go bat poop crazy.

Who does van have for a physical top 6 if we have Sven, and the sedins. Just became easier to bullying around. If Sven is in our top 6 next season we need lucic.

Seems like Richardson practiced today and slotted in for Vey on that line. Miller is good to go but no one is sure who WD will pick for Game 1. I'm guessing they roll with Lack until he falters.
- AlexF

Lack will be done by the 2nd game then back for game 4 after Miller gets lit up!

Dorsett and Kassian . Also coming up in a few years Virtanen and Cassels. Maybe guys like Pedan if he makes the club, and Sbisa will fight

I'm not talking about fighting, i'm talking about being physical. Dorsett is a now overpaid 4th liner IMO. 25 points and being physical doesn't make you a 3rd liner. Kassian, still hoping but haven't seen a consistent physical or any sort of consistency about his game. Virtanen yeah after the Sedins are finished. Top 6 forwards don't usually include defence.

I'm talking a Lucic, Backes, Ladd, Doan type of forward.

Watch when Dorsett throws top players off their game in the playoffs and tell me he is over paid. This fan base drooled over OTT Neal and other players of that ilk. We now locked one up for four years.

Lucic Backes Ladd Simmonds type players are not a dime a dozen players, that is why very few teams have one

Maybe get one of those robotic vacuum cleaners that roam the house while you're gone. That will keep those little (frank)ers entertained.

Absolutely nobody outside of Vancity is picking the Nucks to win this round. Personally I think its hate over logic, but who knows.
- vancity787

I really don't think it's hate over logic. The Canucks aren't the same hated team they were 4 years ago, they don't flop around and try and draw penalties and they are as skilled. Most of the comments I've heard that are from guys picking cgy are either because they don't think van is that good anymore due to age, or they think cgy is too young to realize they shouldn't be there yet and will play with a fire. I personally think injuries on either back end could play a huge role as both teams are not equipped to handle their 7/8 guys in the lineup and be successful

Either way this should be a coin flip and one hell of a series

Its about balance. The 3rd and 4th line are not what they were 5 years ago, hell even 2 years ago. The league is changing and to compete you have to pay complimentary players. Skill, youth, physicality, speed. He has what this team has been lacking.
