waaiittt.....do you mean a NHL 15 version? - KGBflyers10
They don't have licensing so you just download the rosters easy online. Just look up "eastside hockey manager roster pack" on youtube and there's a quick tutorial with download links and other videos for face packs and logo packs. Took me about 15 minutes to get all set up. If you don't want to do that then the game defaults with made-up players and leagues, which is kind of fun in it's own way. |

So, what is this exactly? Is it capgeek you have to pay for? - jmatchett383
Really in-depth GM game. Goes into nearly every aspect of the team. It even handles personnel so you can hire and fire coachs and scouts and map out their contracts and all that. It's cool to improve your scouting team and development team. Idk how accurate the roster pack I have is in it's payments numbers, but Berube is being payed about $750k annually in my game. |

This may be horribly dense, but i assume game results are simulated? If so, how robust are the algorithms, as far as "relative accuracy?"
For instance, Zac Rinaldo had one goal and six assists this season. Would you ever see something in the game like Rinaldo having a hat trick, or finishing with 30 points? |

The game has a full attribute system, with every player having a "rating" between 1-100 (or 1-20 depending on your preferences) in probably 30 different skills. Zac Rinaldo has pretty abysmal ratings in most of the skills that make a pLayer a competent scorer, so it'd be a surprise if he did either of those things in the game. |

He'll be a Phantom for 6 years with 2 NHL call-ups (out vet FA signings will never allow him to play regular NHL minutes) before being dealt for a 4th rounder in 2023. He will win 5 Norris Trophies. |

I really am worried that the Flyers will be too hesitant in letting our prospects play. As it stands right now, if we include Gudas and MDZ, that's 8 "veteran" defenseman signed next season and 6 past this season. At some point, they're going to have to let the kids play and learn, otherwise all the prospect depth in the world won't matter. |

Schenn has had good stretches with Giroux, but he's also had times where he looks lost there.
If they drafted a kid like Barzal, in a couple years, he could be that playmaking C for Simmonds. Kid has great vision and feel for the game. - Jsaquella
I really like this mindset you have of rewarding Wayne Simmonds. The problem that I'm having is being OK with having 2 ways centers, when these 2 way centers aren't very good playmakers (Pass first).
When I think about the best depth we've ever had in my experience as a Flyers fan, I look no further then the 2003-04 team. Jeremy Roenick, Michel Handzus, Keith Primeau and Claude Lapointe I felt were exactly what we needed down the middle within the roles they were expected to play.
Jeremy Roenick - Most talented offensive player who was responsible defensively but could both shoot and pass the puck. Solid faceoff man.
Keith Primeau - Checked the most talented players and could chip in offensively. He also had a balanced offensive game. Solid faceoff man.
Michel Handzus - Can check supporting offensive scorers and hold his own against to lines in the place of the number center if need be. In fact, he could take on the checking role at any time but also had a balanced offensive game. Solid faceoff man.
Claude Lapointe - Solid faceoff, Penalty Killer and had the mindset of defense first within his limited minutes.
I suppose the point I'm trying to make is, it might be some time until we see anything like this again. I thought Wayne Simmonds was rewarded really nicely when he saw most of his first year next to Danny Briere who was poor defensively but it didn't matter much because Briere wasn't expected to see defensive situations of any kind and could pass as good as Giroux. I think I'm okay with finding a guy who simply won't hurt us defensively, if he can make beautiful passes from in the middle (or anywhere) of the ice. |

So, using the Excel random number generator, I have Montreal beating Calgary in 7 games. Highlights:
- Pittsburgh over NY Rangers in 4 games
- Calgary takes down both Anaheim and St. Louis in 6 games each
- Chicago sweeps Nashville in 4 games. |

my advice is don't hold your breath - Marc D
Related:
I got points taken off of "counseling" a patient aka my practice lab instructor on how to use an inhaler because I told her to "press the canister down while breathing in for about 5 seconds. Then remove the inhaler from your mouth, and hold your breath for 10 seconds after that."
Points off because I didn't tell her to exhale after holding your breath for 10 seconds.
A week later I was doing the same thing but counseling simvastatin. I told her to take the pill with a glass of water then to breathe after she took the drink.
She just kind of looked up confused. I kept on truckin and got a 100% |

Anyone listening to Missanelli per chance? I usually don't, but he's trolling Flyers fans pretty hardcore today and I just keep yelling at my radio. He's mocking the idea of patience and waiting for players to develop. It's like he thinks he's doing hockey fans a favor by talking about hockey on an annual basis even though he has no idea what he's saying. It's embarrassing. - steelydan
He has always hated the Flyers and loves the drek called the 76 ers |

I agree. Ghost and Morin seem like very confident players. I get the feeling a few mistakes aren't going to rattle them.
I think it's about the mindset of trying to win now too. It's easier to break in defenseman when you aren't worried about winning each game |

When I told her to breathe after drinking she looked up a little confused from her clipboard. I gave her a split second's eye contact of "don't (frank) with me" then moved on |
