Over paid, probably not overrated. Still the best in the league at what he does. It's just that scoring a whole bunch is not one of those things. |

He's a glorified bottom 6 center making 6 mil. I'd say over rated is fair |

definnitely good picks but for a moment though the list would be Leaf free...Then realized no negative playe lsit can be free of Leaf players/ |

Thanks brother. I'm actually gonna change my choice for center from stastny to Martin Hanzal. Dudes always injured, and when he's healthy he blows.

Overrated should include an outsized salary. Schenn doesn't got in that mold. Any waffles player making more than four mill per could be included, or with too much hype. Lupul, Phaneuf, kessel, kadri, ...
You could include Clarkson, Semin, Jordan staal, Eric staal, lucic, James Neal, orpik, Dustin Brown, probably a bunch of others as well - kaptaan

I feel bad for Hanzal. Every time he looks like he's turning the corner into a really strong two-way second line centre, his "lower body" implodes. |

You do kinda have to feel bad for him. It's almost comical how often he gets injured though. He'll return for 3 or 4 games, Out with LBI for 3 weeks, back for a week, out with LBI for a month, back for 3 weeks, out for the season. They should make him rest for a full season to let his "LBI" fully heal lol

Reminds me of Antropov's early career. Pretty sure by the time he was 23 he was more machine than man below the waist. |

Yeah? Wait till I rip you for your take on my boy Gardiner................ah, I don't have the energy. Much like Ovechkin, I expect to vindicated shortly on my love for senior Gardinero. |

Re: Brayden Schenn - not sure I'd agree with you on him. Who's "hyping" this kid? He's a 23 year old guy who's paid $2.5 million dollars, he produced 47 points, career high, how can this be shed in a negative light?
As far as the guys (forwards) taken ahead of him, they're all better than he is, they've also all played more games than he has. Tavares, no explanation needed, Duchene, he's definitely more offensively talented but he's also played 145 more games. - LeftCoaster
Schenn got a ton of hype when he was drafted. More was expected. |

I don't see how you figure Rask is the most overrated goalie. He literally has the highest save% for any goalie with 250+ games EVER. Its not like he's just been good behind a great team, he's put up hof numbers. The defense was a tire fire this year and Tuukka was still way up there in sv% and gaa so the "good team" argument doesn't really fit anymore. Miller and Crawford are the only truly overrated goalies I can think of. They have both been mediocre behind great teams |

In his case, the eye test is still the whole story really.
But you put it extremely well in that he's a tire fire without the puck, and a purely offensive defencemen that doesn't produce.
But his advanced stats!!!!! |

You think Kessel should make under 4mil?
And you can't call Clarkson overrated. He definitely was by the Leafs when his contract was signed. But everybody thinks he's garbage now. - SolidGoldBricks
David Clarkson should go into the hall of fame. He is the first player ever traded for a dead body in the history of the NHL. Chris krieder can't be ranked as over rated. He has a skill nobody else in NHL has, the ability to injure goaltenders without getting fined or suspended. |
