Holy poope. 15 mil in 1993 is like 50 mil now.
Funny how in the end, Colorado won a cup and Forsberg was really the only piece (Recchi I think was on the team but he sucked) that was on the cup teams and Lindros was plagued with concussions and swept right out of the finals the second he got there.
But man, he was good. I mean really good. - DynamicThreads
Anybody thinking about selling the franchise to get McDavid should read that Wiki page beforehand and Remember he was great for 5+ years, but afterward ...
That was a huge price to pay. A cautionary tale. |

I think it's pretty certain whoever gets the first pick won't be trading it for anything. The only reason that trade went down was because Lindros refused to play for Quebec. |

Tanking is one thing but I think when you start targeting RFA's for offer sheets it seems to really put other GM's off.
Oilers took a lot of heat for the Penner/Vanek offer sheets and you could make the case that it cost them in future dealings. - Sabresfan-365
This is a huge point that people missed, there's a sense of respect through the GM's and going after RFAs is sticking your hand in someone elses cookie jar.
Second point, anyone else think that with changes to the lotto next year it would be crazy to trade any future first rounders? Anything in the Top 5 again would be huge to develop |

More from Wiki
Nordiques worked TWO trades for Lindros. The other was with the Rags. Ultimately, an arbitrator had to decide which trade became Effective first. Arbitrator ruled for Philly.
The trade with the Rangers had the Nordiques receiving Tony Amonte, Alexei Kovalev, John Vanbiesbrouck, Doug Weight, three first-round picks (1993, 1994, and 1996), and $12 million. |

That Qubec team was winning a cup with or without Lindros.
Sundin and Sakic were the top 2 centers on that team already along with Owen Nolan.
Quebec had the top pick in 89, 90, and 91.
6 top 5 picks in 5 years and 8 top 10 picks from 87-93.
Not to mention Sakic at 15 and Deadmarsh at 14. |

It's the same as any other alcohol....
Here's the proper way to drink it.

EDIT: Understand that some absinthe's have as much as 75% alcohol, so don't overdo it. |

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that stuff is pure fluff nowadays. It's basically green alcohol now, the hallucinogens or whatever that fun stuff that was inside of it way back when isn't present any longer. Unless you can find some very old school stuff from Europe (from what I've been told).
I know this because a few years ago a group of us were going to buy a few bottles and go to the moon. But I did some read(reed)ing on it, and I was VERY disappointed after finding that out. |

Meh. Absinthe has a lot of Mystique around it, but it tastes like crap and works just as well as other Alcohol. The first company to offer legal Absinthe in the US was Hangar 1/St. Geroge Spirits here in the Bay area. Apparently, they had a line down the block the day it became available and sold out all of their stock in 2 hours. St. George is a good place to do a tasting if any of you ever find yourselves out my way...
