I agree but I also think it is premature to start assuming his back is at that level, if the nucks thought Kassian's back was that bad, they would be saying he is shut down.

WD had a really good interview a while back saying essentially that it is a strange injury that they haven't been able to predict. I choose to take his word that this isn't related to any other issues as some do.

At the end of the day I think Benning has no issue saying that a player is not living up to their standards and is being disciplined for that reason and thus don't buy the party boy line of thought.

He knew he was not even close but he still needed game to see where his level of play was at. Kudos to him for acknowledging he wasn't ready. If Eddie falters in the first couple home games I think he will be ready.

I never have either. You can't stay in peak condition if you are boozing it and partying all the time. Teams would send you to rehab and make sure the whole world knew you were a sinner.
