Hey, I'm not saying to trade him.

But let's not start saying that Brayden Schenn turned the corner because of one good week once the Flyers were out of playoff contention.

It's one data point, in a sea of data points that don't quite play into the "Brayden Schenn is top 6 player" narrative.

They should give him another season, for sure, though, because he is young.

Ironically, my reason to fire Berube is tied to both BSchenn and Couturier's continued development, so I'd much rather throw a replacement level coach overboard than a young guy who MIGHT be good.

As do I. I am a bit disappointed with him this year considering he didn't really take advantage of playing with G and V. But when you take a step back and look at his overall numbers, it shocks you. He had a career year. His problem is that he really isn't a flashy player. He has no niche. Next year will be a big year for him. Hopefully he takes a bigger step forward.

I don't get those who want to package him with TB's pick to move up. It would be such a poor usage of assets it would be laughable.
