Matt, I don't see how you got that McT would be happy about Klefbom and Schultz on the top pairing next year from the presser.

I thought I heard him specifically respond to the question at issue that they definitely wanted to get some pieces on defence in the summer, just that one's expectations about it shouldn't be too high. He did also defend Klefbom and Schultz and said that a lot of the improvement on defence would have to come internally, but I didn't see this as a denial that the D also needed outside help.

In all honesty if Nicholson doesn't have the talk with Katz or Katz doesn't ask Nihcolson we have major problems.

I mean for all we know MacT and company planned for this year to go this badly after seeing how bad it was off the start. And if true this could be why Katz doesn't really care quite yet, but when a guy like PC comes around questions have to be asked.

Nicholson's job was to do an internal audit and who knows what happened there, but part of his job has to be identify guys that come along who would be good fits. If he isn't suggesting a PC then he's failing. Maybe you don't even bring PC in as the GM. Maybe he's brought in as a Brian Burke.

This team just sucks , so does the organization .. it continues to spin its wheels with poor decisions time and time again. What organization fires its coach and then hires them as a GM ? They draft small sissy ass players . Yakingoff is brutal and his facial expressions make him look like he is stunned all the time. And Ben Sivens in net ?... They screwed the City of Edmonton for a free new arena with Troll faced Katz. Don't get me started with that piece of S*it Lowe. Joke is best way to describe it and it wont matter who they draft because he will be a bust anyways ... they will go off the board and draft another ex oiler son. And please tell Katz to tell his Ronald McDonald looking fat kid to skip the buffet and the NHL Draft.

Quite a few options out there now available for management and coaching gigs in Shero, Chiarelli, Eilson, Maclean, Bylsma, Mcclennen, Nelson, Spott, Wilson, Carlyle - and after playoffs there will be more including Babcock- good selection

(frank) no! All he's doing is absolving himself of any responsibility when we tank again next season. Chiarelli was fired today and has a much more successful track record than MacT. He's also not afraid to pull the trigger on a blockbuster franchise changing trade. Nicholson has worked with him in the past. I think he would fit in well here.
