I noted the same thing. I mean, what? the whole game was basically strategized based on a possible 30 second shift but which strategy wasn't executed correctly, and thus causing the loss? Good grief, I don't mind Kypreos but sometimes his neanderthal brain really leaks through. - Zogg
I know... Kypreos and Yeti the Mod both share the same brain farts....
wait, what? Who did you say is here?

Spot-on. Make a save when needed like Hiller did.
It's Miller Time.

I am so embarrassed for Canucks fans who think so simple. We are supposed to be a knowledgeable fan base folks. |

Agreed
I thought sedins were good, but Henrik HAS to burry that chance plain and simple.

No one was brutal. Weber had a bad shift and Bieksa and Sbisa just couldn't get the puck out of their end. Game over.
Edit:
It would be nice to have someone in position to bury a rebound. |

especially in the 3rd Van would enter the zone, get away a good pass and shot on net, but no one was there to get the juicy rebound, Calgary would clear the puck and go down and get an opportunity.
Where the hell was the classic cycle game I am used to seeing from the Sedins??? |

It was there in the first. They were rolling. Then, not so much. The fact that Hartley was willing to put Bennett out against them tells you all that you need to know. |

Not jumping ship stating facts.
HIller was the better goalie. - thundachunk
Sure he was. He's actually a pretty damn good goalie. As hard as the flames were surging... I am not going to blame Lack. Sometimes the better team wins. Tonight Calgary was the better team.
Winning teams don't start pointing fingers... They overcome. Nucks should have been better... And I expect they will be for game 2.

Good game
Canucks came out flying to start ...hiller was sharp tonight ...Sedins were buzzing around the and have to be kept to the outside or they will breakout ....Bennett played far better than I could have imagined ...I felt the Monahan line against the Twins is what you need to do ...once they got away from them they looked better ...was that nerves from. The kids or just a coincidence I dunno ....was impressed with the Canucks D reading plays ...how about joe colborne at the end ...that goal is cause from his strong puck moves ...lack has to start game 2 he played just fine
See you (frank)s Friday |

I'm glad that game ended when it did. Overtime or double overtime and losing would not have been good.
Sbisa and Bieksa screen on Lack. |

While I agree with what you are saying on the rebounds, I wonder if protecting the lead was playing a part in the Canucks not being more offensive minded off the rush ?

It'll be over in 4 for sure. He's nowhere ready and not on Lacks level.
Eddie will bounce back. Not so sure about our D Core though. |

I don't think so, Willie doesn't seem to coach that way. They will press if they're behind, otherwise they just play their game. They just weren't able to establish a net front presence. |

You could be right
I just think having the lead in the third in the playoffs might cause players to be less aggressive not wanting to have 3 guys caught deep |

Well we were aggressive at the beginning of the third. I think you guys had two or three two on ones.
But the Canucks do have a tendency to let games slip late. And your boys seem to like to comeback late.
Bad combination. |

I didn't see the Canucks holding back
it was really back and forth, good chances on both ends and both goalies keeping it close
sometimes it's just the tiniest of an edge that gives a team the goal and the win
I think Canucks rebound and play even harder on Friday
we better be ready for that |

I think that we both watched the same game. I'm confident that the Canucks will bring it next game but nervous that they were actually pretty good tonight and still lost. |

I agree. I don't see what's wrong with admitting that you are playing a good team and all of their fans might not all be D bag A Holes. It's not as if I would want to have a drink with all of our fans. |

Wonder if a 5-1 game or a dirty hit changes that |
