i'll definitely note this one. thanks. not saying the flames couldn't get swept, but if you think one of these teams are so much better than the other, you haven't been paying attention. - chester97
Sorry, have we introduced you to Hank yet? |

I watch all the games. Calgary is a nice story but they are lucky to be here. Canucks have way more experience and are much deeper. Shouldn't be a close series. - hankthetank
i watch every game for both teams as well. i disagree. best of luck. |

We weren't suppose to be there either , so it is two similar story. - VANTEL
According to you. I had the Canucks finishing in 5th to 8th in the conference. Flames were supposed to be near the bottom of the standings. They caught lightning in a bottle and got a lot of lucky bounces. Everything went right for them. They're luck is about to run out. If Canucks can break Raymond's back a la Boston style then this will be a short series. |

The Canucks cap would be screwed if they made that trade.

Likely the same as all of you, but I heard Calgary the other day being referred to as 'playing with house money'; as far as I'm concerned, they both are. Both could just as easily not be here, but here we are... unburdened by the expectations (for me) that comes with having the #1 PK/PP in the league, where anything short of taking it all isn't acceptable.
I'd be happy wherever we fall out, truly been a most entertaining year, with lots of good subplots. That said, I have the curious feeling that we may do better- WAY better- than everyone thinks we will.
Lock and load. Lets go. |

all those subject matter experts on tsn and sportsnet don't have an original idea they can put together. Jeff ONeil was on the Canuck lunch yesterday going on about how he picked Calgary- from all the people he talked to, what he learned... may as well have just played clips of those people talking instead of hearing him just repeat the same.
None of those guys know first hand what is going on with western teams, they don't stay up late to watch and only see games if it is the Canucks playing the Leafs with a 4pm start or they are part of a tv crew on the west coast swing.

obviously you must watch a lot if you think that raymond is the key to the series. but don't worry, he's probably a healthy scratch for sam bennett tonight anyways. |

Feeling more positive than our last 2 playoff appearances. We have played pretty good against some of the better teams and playing fairly well recently. |

I know this won't be popular, but I have Calgary in 5.
Will be glad to be wrong, but I just look at the Nuck's D-core and then I took a look at the last 2 series with LA and SJ.
While the twins always delivered in terms of production in the playoffs, we got little in terms of secondary scoring. Though I think that will be fixed this time around, we have the same weak defense that got out-muscled by both previous teams. Bieksa, Hamhuis and Edler have been killed in the last few series. Sadly, I think we're in for more of the same. |

You realize that the Flames are not nearly as big as LA and SJ right? Johnny Hockey, Hudler, Monahan, Bennett, Raymond, Stajan etc. wont be bruising up any of our D. This series will be about speed and tenacity |

Not that much.... he is a UFA after next yr... Teams don't pay that much for 1 yr of service for a somewhat overpaid player.
