I take a lot of pleasure in watching Crosby fail. I can live with the Rangers having the first round but all bets are off in the second round. I'm hoping like hell that Ottawa, Detroit and whomever comes out of the Washington/NYI series can make some noise.

Anyone notice that Stamkos is a year away from being a UFA? I'd say he's likely to resign but five years ago a lot was made of him going to Toronto at the first opportunity when Stamkos didn't extend his deal right away.

Well, I think fans are quietly waiting for the next "Lindros like move" where a player decides not to stay loyal to an organization and just decides to go where he's wants to go on his own terms. I suppose we saw this with Zach Parise and Ryan Sutter. At the time I felt Parise was a B class star and we didn't really know how good Sutter was until he got out o Weber's shadow but I'm talking a star on the same level as Crosby, Ovechkin or Stamkos. Just something tht will really shake up and shock the Hockey World.
