Troll!

Just gotta evaluate the D to answer your question. And I know you love looking at D.

That's why I hated watching my team play last night. No (frank)ing D.

If they finish lower than they did this year (which they very well could), do you consider that regression? Because I don't necessarily think it does.

Yes I was talking about the team record not the teams development.

I would be more concerned if they were not getting grade A chances. Daniel could of had 3 last night. Lots of rebounds sitting around the net that could of been popped in.

That said I wouldn't mind seeing WD load up the top line a bit to get Vrbata going, nothing against Burrows but I think the nucks need Vrbata scoring to have success.

We've been saying that for years. Time to throw away the excuses and win. There are no trophies awarded for scoring chances.

He let his first goal in with 12 minutes left

If we scored our 3 goals we win.

For sure, it's not an excuse, I'm just not worried after last nights performance.

We all know it was game one. I do have huge concerns. I have seen this before where our scoring and PP dries up . We have one win our last 12 PO games and we get gallant efforts. If we have a hiccup in the next game we are screwed.

This is a veteran team , excuses are for losers. Get out there try harder and don't accept losing. Do whatever it takes.

They had their chances and Hiller had to make some good saves, but nothing that you will see on the highlight reel. He was good but didn't have to be great.

Because we didn't try hard enough. They didn't interfer with him, they were not there for rebounds and they just didn't try hard enough.

I have the same feeling. Did WD get outcoached as well perhaps?

Agreed. It's an issue that won't stop rearing its ugly head come playoff time.

Was anyone else surprised that the Sedins played only 16 mins last night?

The Canucks were pretty much hemmed into their own zone for the final 6 minutes or so. They might have had their chances earlier on but they got overwhelmed down the stretch. That's troubling.

All this said, this was always a long series in my mind and we are a decent road team. Lots of hockey to still be played.

I don't disagree. Their PK is great so why not make life difficult for Hiller and if you take a penalty along the way, so be it.

It's no accident that the Canucks' only goal was the result of traffic in front of the net, unfortunately it was all Flames.

They forgot all about defence, sticking close to their man and not giving any time and space. Singular focus on getting the goal back.

need to bear down for a complete game. I always think they get it in their heads that they work hard for a bit and then expect to coast...

I would be very surprised if Miller was in game 2. Lack was one our better players even though I called him out. Henrik and Burrows I thought played pretty good as well but had no finish. They need to pick it up. Higgins had legs but thats about it. PP sucked, PK was awesome. Vantel is right scoring is our problem. Not quite as bad at scoring as Nucker101. Finish needs to happen.
