I found it interesting that Desjardins played these ballers 16 mins last night, only 5 mins in the 3rd period when we needed some scoring.

Yup, Its baffling that they barely saw the ice in the third.

followed by Pretty Gerbil, the Hamster Prophecies, and of course the classic Runaway Gerbil (finally, the gerbil thankfully figured things out )

Honourable mention to American Gerbilo

I just don't understand how the coaches and management do not see just how bad Bieksa is. I am honestly not exaggerating one bit when I say that he is the worst defensman in the NHL. I truly believe this. He is slow, lazy, dumb and he can't make a pass to save his life. This team will go nowhere if they continue to put this guy out there for a regular shift. He is also making Sbisa look much worse than he is.

Is it Tuesday again?

So, if I understand correctly, you're saying you don't think Bieksa will be winning the Norris trophy in the near future?

Watching this PIT-NYR game, although the score was close I am comfortable in predicting with 100% certainty that this roster will never again compete for a Stanley Cup. They need re-enforcements in so many areas and even their strength areas (Malkin and Crosby) have looked ordinary the past few playoff series. It's time to trade one of Malkin or Crosby to balance this team out.

You can tell there is a locker room divide. No communication on the bench or on the ice. Looks to me more like Malkins team right now.

I would trade Malkin - he's way too injury prone and just doesn't seem to have that passion he used to have (maybe it's me being over critical but that's the perception I get when I watch him play now)

What are you talking about Crosby and Kunitz have the best chemistry in the league.

He has been paired up with Winnik and Hornquist.

How is it that, year after year, you simply can't ever count out Datsyuk and the Wings?

On a completely juvenile/sophomoric note, do you think his team mates call him "Horny"?

They may not have the best team every year but they do have the best organization. That counts for something.

I have been saying this for 4 years. At least 4 years ago the return would have been a Kings ransom.

When I mentioned it on a Pens thread I got banned.

Stable and consistent management team, that knows what it takes to win (not to mention having probably one of the best coaches in the league)
