They said each team had around 40+ hits. That's old time hockey (and as Cherry pointed out, it was because the refs let them play)

have to disagree there.... Hands of stone... great work ethic when motivated... but as far as PP... Maybe he could work in front of the net.... but he can't move the puck around and i haven't seen much of a one timer.... tenacious forechecker but not skill player for PP.

The only coach that played him top 6 was Torts wasn't it???

When putting Hansen on the 2nd PP is being discussed I find it hard to imagine the Canucks going far in the post season.

by the way, I fully agree with Carol and some of the other posters who indicated they would like to see some changes with respect to the non-hockey Canucks elements.

For one, definitely get rid of the ugly orca logo at centre ice (it has nothing to do with the Canucks now and is completely irrelevant), and also go with a new anthem singer - or singers. Donnelly has become a bit stale and is, as noted, part of the old regime (and if you are superstitious, which most hockey fans/players are, he certainly isn't channeling the hockey Gods)

It's easy to say the Canucks have a new identity, but until we get rid of some of these elements, they'll just be another faceless NHL team.

I agree. I'm not sure where the Jets love is coming from - other than they are a Canadian team and I suppose a 'sexy' pick, based on their lunch-bucket/truculent mentality. Anaheim is not going to be pushed around by anyone and if the Jets think otherwise, it will be a very short series.
