Simple solution to stop tanking in professional sports. Give the teams with the best record who fails to make the playoff, the best odds to win the lottery. Every team will be busting their asses to try and win every game, even once eliminated from playoff contention. - PLindbergh31
I'm not a fan of that extreme, but I wouldn't be upset if they started to distribute the ping pong balls more evenly. I know they just changed the odds this year, but I still think the % drop off from team to team especially the 3 worst records is a little too steep.
I'm happy they finally decided to change the lottery for next year to draw for the first 3 picks so the worst record hypothetically could draft 4th at worst. I've been calling for that for years. One of the only things I liked more about the NBA than the NHL.

Yeah that is fair. Buffalo had the worst record by far, and they still only have a 20% chance to get the top pick.
How do they reveal the draft order? Do they just start opening envelopes from #14 to # 1?

Pens played pretty solid in game 1, outside of the first 10 minutes. MAF was great. They got nothing from #87 and #71 and they had a chance. Not having Letang really hurts. Must win today, they won't be able to beat the Rags four out of five.
Kind of takes a little of the drama out of it. But I guess there is no other way to do it.
So basically if your a Sabres fan, once you see an envelope opened out of order, you know you lost.

we also have it where you get to pick your slots, instead of just having to pick where you come out. the lottery is just hte order of getting to pick where you pick, if you will.
and eh man its whatever. their goose is already as good as cooked.
the defense is the most comical to be iced in a long while. and even the other guys are brutal. can blame the bottom 6 all they want, but kunitz and perron are killing the pens the most up front.
no threat of any offense from the back end. no transition game. no shot from the point. hell they cant even pass it back to set things up because it goes right through their legs.

The flyers will win the draft. Firing Berube placed some excellent karma out there

Geez. You sound like a defeated man. Let's not get crazy. The Rags aren't exactly the 85' Oilers.
