C'mon... All coaches do is decide who participates in the shootout. How much influence can they have? WTF is wrong with you?

If a coach has players to choose from that are good in the shootout and that can execute, then the coach will be a good shootout coach. If a coach has players that aren't good in the shootout, and don't execute, such as Giroux going 1-12, then the coach won't be a good shootout coach. Shootouts come down to player execution, not coaching.

Luke Richardson is interesting but I'd like to go with a guy with a track record. I want Babcock s much as any but realistically I'm all in when it comes to Dave Tippett. What that guy has done with teams with less then impressive personnel is unbelievable.
So big day. Ding Dong, Berube's gone! What's the feeling in the room??

Don't really need to be brilliant to look at shootouts to know the role of coaches in the outcome of shootouts. Some have trouble with it though, obviously. No reason for you to feel bad about that.

My self worth will never be messured on the opion of fools...
Giroux was 1-12 this season. I agree with Hextall, don't expect that to be the norm. Even with that number, if I was the coach, Giroux makes my list of first 3 shooters every time.
