It's been 6 hours and I'm still bummed about it. Edmonton simply doesn't deserve the number 1 pick, but they got lucky enough to get it. It also sounds like Eichel is going back to BU from his interviews. If that's the case, he might not even want to play for the Sabres. Eichel slamming his Bud Light is a big turn off for me as well. I get that lots of fans think it's cool because "it shows his character! and that fits perfectly with buffalo!" but this is your franchise player. This guys sets examples for the young fanbase.

I don't know, I really hope McDavid pulls a Lindros. Connor raved about Buffalo, being close to home, hosting their Erie Otters game at HSBC.. This kid wants to make history AND win cups. He could win cups in Edmonton, but he would be writing history here in Buffalo. I just think it's a better fit.

honestly, a trade scenario isn't the worst thing. Could fill a ton of holes immediately.

If the oilers could get a package like the nords got for lindros, I don't think,too many oilers fan would cry foul.

Well why not? Sabres top 4 is clogged as it is. McCabe is pushing for a spot. Zadorov and Pysyk are solid, but if it means getting McDavid, I say pull the trigger. Regardless, I hope MacT and TM are working on some deal together.

This is interesting.

Cause now that we have the pick, we have so many options.
But Whether it be through the draisaitl,, yaks, nuge, etc; teams know we're gonna be shopping for a defender. They don't wanna stack a team that already has mcdavid coming.
They might play hardball for any piece that's not mcdavid, if u get ,y meaning
