It's the playoffs. Officiating goes completely into the crapper.

Eli, I don't necessarily mind "playoff officiating"...

...just want it to be lousy for both clubs.

A win is a win and I'll definitely take it, but the defense really needs to step up. Hammer with 5 (5!) giveaways today. Timonen continues to not have any impact whatsoever on the game. Oduya hasn't done much either. Keith and Seabrook NEED to be generating more shots on net.

At this point...I'll take 2 more before the Preds find 3, then I'll worry about the 5th..

Follow that?

I thought the Hawks "prevent defense" was awesome. Preds generated almost no quality scoring chances over final 10 minutes. The team was patient, smart, recognized their spacing. It was also predominantly 27, 4, 2, and 7 to milk down the game, which is what need to happen.

HOSSA!! I thought he played poorly in Game 2, he was a beast today, that's what champions do they don't stay down long.

11 needs to remain in. 80 I don't get his issues.

The only "impact" I want, or expect, from Kimmo is 8-10 minutes of competent play...minimize the F' ups and maximize the passing.

Expecting dynamic Kimmo circa 2004 is unrealistic.

Good . HAWKS played very well and disciplined today . Maybe the additions of veterans like Vermette and especially Dejardin helped that . Took them awhile to wake up especially the Kane line . Darling was solid . Looked good in that final PP ....GO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly... as long as he doesn't (frank) up a la Rozsival in G1, he's fine.

No one is expecting Kimmo from 10 years ago, but he was still a good player last season. 35 points and 150+ shots while blocking over 110 of them. That's still a player that makes an impact. He also played much heavier minutes.

It's not easy to get anything going when you're limited to just 10 minutes a night as a defense-man. He hasn't really hurt the team so ideally he'd be getting more to take pressure off, but if he continues to be scarcely used he'll continue to make no impact. Might be time to take a chance and give him 16-17 minutes and see if he can get anything going.

Now, now Bogie...NHL officialls occasionally don't suck.

It helps when Tim Peel isn't near a rink.

what a jag bag...neither ref sees the sucker punch into a player on the bunch...

one of the many reasons I despise NHL officiating...you telling neither of ref saw that...the puck was just there....

Forwards seemed to do a better job of helping the D down low. The high slot wasn't wide open most of the game, in contrast to the first 2 of this series.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a fine handed out; also wouldn't be surprised to see the whole thing ignored.

Didn't catch the three stars but mine are
Toews, Hosa and Saad

Desjardins was great and Darling's rebound control was spot on. The guy played for the Louisiana Ice Gators last year for God's sake!
Thought the Hawks beat a very good and prepared Preds team

An exciting fast game!
Not sure what this board expects?

Playoffs in the West are a grind among all grinds in Sport
